Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt <br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />SUPERVISORS REPORTS <br /> <br />Stelk - Senior citizens & Visitors Promotion meetings <br /> <br />Landis - LEPC meeting <br />Motion made by Quandt, seonded by Stelk to have Richard Mohrman continue <br />to serve on the LEPC board contingent to his living in Hall County. <br />Landis said the by-laws do not reguire that they have to live in Hall <br />County. <br />Landis also reported the change of the Transportation meeting from the <br />7th of December to the 14th. <br /> <br />Abernethy - Headstart meeting <br /> <br />Hartman - Mid Plains meeting <br /> <br />BOARD ASSISTANT <br /> <br />Asked who would attend the Economic Development Corporation <br />meeting Wednesday noon? Leslie agreed to attend. <br /> <br />Asked that Hartman sign the letter to Jack Mills in regards to <br />NIRMA Board ? Letter already signed. <br /> <br />Asked if the new School Superintendent, Larry Hernisch, could take <br />the IBM PC to his office in Wood River to use for Supt of Schools business, <br />it would remain on the county inventory? The Board agreed it was best to <br />do this. Reported the Hernisch was working on the spelling contest, to <br />be coordinated by Ruth McCurkin and will tentativelybe February 25, 1995. <br /> <br />Asked about sending flowers to Emmett Arnett in the hospital? <br />Yes was the answer. <br /> <br />Motion made by Abernethy, seconded by Landis to reconsider the motion <br />of Mohrman to the LEPC. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt <br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Discussion followed concerning the possibility of Mohrman not living in <br />Hall County but working within the county. <br /> <br />Landis made motion, seconded by Stelk to keep Jim Fosket, County <br />Sheriff as of January, on the LEPC. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Motion made by Stelk, seconded by Abernethy to retain Mohrman on LEPC <br />board. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie and Stelk voted yes, Quandt <br />voted no. Motion carried. Quandt voted no because he doesn't live in <br />Hall County. <br /> <br />Mary Kay Shay, Election Commissioner, reported the happenings of the <br />election last week and read a letter concerning an editorial in Saturdays <br />Grand Island Independent. The Board suggested that she send the letter to <br />the editor. <br /> <br />ll;llf~The Chairman recessed the meeting until Thursday, November 17, 1994 at <br />'f- 7 P.M. <br /> <br />pNovember 17, 1994- 7 P.M. Chairman Hartman presiding. Boardmembers <br />present were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, Margaret <br />Landis, Robert Leslie and Gary Quandt. Tammie Stelk was absent. <br /> <br />Frauen made motion' to open the Public Hearing on the proposed use of the <br />former Children's Village Building at 1910 W 9th St, Grand Island, Ne. <br />L~ndis seconded the motion. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie <br />and Quandt voted yes, Stelk was absent.
