<br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, AUGUST 23, 1994

<br />~The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session .\
<br />and by published call with Chairman Richard Hartman presiding.
<br />
<br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman,
<br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammie Ste1k. None were absent.
<br />
<br />Invocation was given by Rev. Roger Feola, Lighthouse Fellowship Church.
<br />
<br />Pledge of Allegiance was given.
<br />
<br />Minutes of August 16th meeting were accepted as received, on motion by Frauen
<br />seconded by Quandt. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and
<br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Deputy County Attorney Jerom Janulewicz was present. He reported on the
<br />offer from Home Real Estate to purchase Block 3 Roush Subdivision for $12,000.
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Leslie to accept the offer from Home Real
<br />Estate and sell the property located Block 3 Roush Subdivision. Discussion
<br />followed, Frauen withdrew his motion and Leslie his second.
<br />
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Stelk to recess for Executive Session to discuss
<br />the negotiation for Block 3 Roush Subdivision property and also discuss the
<br />litigation strategy on Board of Equalization case. Abernethy, Frauen, Hart-
<br />man, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion
<br />carried.
<br />
<br />Executive Session at 9:08 A.M. and returned to regular session at 9:23 a.m.
<br />on motion by Quandt, seconded by Landis. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis,
<br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Leslie to accept the offer to sell Block 3
<br />Roush Subdivision for $12,000.00. Frauen, Hartman, Leslie and Stelk voted
<br />yes, Abernethy and Quandt voted no, Landis abstained due to possible conflict
<br />of interest. Motion carried on 4 yes, 2 no and 1 abstained vote.
<br />
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Landis to authorize Deputy Attorney to continue
<br />litigation in. the Thayer vs Hall County Board of Equalization 1990 and 1991
<br />cases. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted
<br />yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />County Attorney Ellen Totzke gave each board member copy of letter from
<br />Attorney General Don Stenberg stating they will research the issued requested
<br />in regard to processing fee for county prisoners and will have response in
<br />a timely manner~
<br />
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Landis to adopt Resolution #1582 as presented.
<br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none
<br />voted no. Motion carried.

<br />RESOLUTION # / 5?~

<br />A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A MINIMUM VALUE OF ITEMS INCLUDED
<br />IN ANNUAL INVENTORIES
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the state Auditor's Office requires that only items
<br />with a value greater than $200 be listed on annual inventories;
<br />and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, eliminating items of less than $200. value from the
<br />Public Works Department's annual inventory would reduce work for
<br />department employees who compile these lists; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, eliminating items of less than $200 value from the
<br />Public Works Department's annual inventory would reduce work for
<br />members of the Board of Supervisors who must account for items on
<br />inventory lists.
<br />
<br />NOW, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Board of Supervisors of
<br />Hall County, Nebraska, that items of less than $200 value be
<br />removed from the Public Works Department's annual inventory and
<br />not included in such lists in the future;
<br />
<br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution #1579 shall
<br />remain. in full force and effect for all other county.offices and
<br />dep.artments.
