<br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors mat.at :g:-:-O(}.a~-.m. from adjourned session and
<br />by published call with Chairman Richard Hartman presiding.
<br />
<br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman,
<br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. None were absent.
<br />
<br />Invocation was given by Leslie.
<br />
<br />Pledge of Allegiance was given.
<br />
<br />Minutes of July 26th meeting were accepted as received. Abernethy, Frauen,
<br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion
<br />carried.
<br />
<br />Sandi Yoder, Stuhr Musuem spoke in regard to the Civil War Encampment to be
<br />held at Stuhr Museum on August 6 & 7, 1994 and invited the Board Members to
<br />attend.
<br />
<br />Deputy County Attorney Janulewicz was present. He presented memo from County
<br />Attorney Totzke in regard to question if county can charge City of Grand Island
<br />a booking charge at County Jail facility.
<br />
<br />Dan Hostler, Public Works Director reported to. Board members as to the awarding
<br />of bid last week for flashing lights at Cedar Hollow School. Need to reject
<br />bid from Affordable Electric Co due to miss reading of the bid and to award
<br />the bid to Heartland Electric $6600.00.
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Stelk to rescind motion of bid from Affordable
<br />Electric due to not properly worded. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis,
<br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Stelk to accept the bid and authorize chairman.to
<br />sign purchase order with Heartland Electric $6600.00 for flashing lights at
<br />Cedar Hollow School. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and
<br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Renewal ~pplication was presented for ECW Corporation d/b/a The Sundowner for
<br />one year effective September 1, 1994 to August 31, 1995 for Amusement License.
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Leslie to approve the renewal of the amuse-
<br />ment license for ECW Corporation for 1 year as presented. Abernethy, Frauen,
<br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion
<br />carried.
<br />
<br />Discussed the weight limits on Husker Highway due to deterioration of road.
<br />
<br />Joel Dalton, Correction Director reported that from the Jail Inspection last
<br />August, all has been fixed except for the elevator is not connected to the fire
<br />system. Needs to be wired in.
<br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Leslie to have Building & Grounds Committee
<br />and Superintendent to use their discretion on which company to use and pro-
<br />ceed with the project to connect elevator to fire system. Abernethy, Frauen,
<br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie and Stelk voted yes, Quandt voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Frauen to recess for Executive Session in regard
<br />to personnel. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk
<br />voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Executive Session at 9:28 a.m. and returned to regular session at 9:46 a.m.

<br />meeting at 9:48 a.m.

<br />10-=~OO.A.M.PUBLIC. HEARING to consider if certain street right of way in Adams
<br />Street Industrial area:inHall County remain in the industrial area.
<br />Affidavit of publication as published in Grand Island Independent on April
<br />15th, 22nd and 29th, 1994 was read.
<br />
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Leslie to open Public Hearing. Abernethy, Frauen,
<br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion
<br />carried.
<br />Present were Dan Hostler, Public Works Director, James Shamberg Attorney,
<br />Representative from Island Supply Co; John Brownell, Atty and representative
<br />from Poland Oil Co. and three other representatives from the industrial area.

<br />James Shamberg, Attorney representing Island Supply Co, presented written
<br />letter of Objection to Changing Industrial Area. He spoke in regard to the
