Hartman gave report on County Treasurer's interest on deposit of county funds. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />J The following Public Works Committee report was read: <br /> <br />The Ball County Public Works Committee recommends . <br />accepting sealed bids for a new 1994 Motor Grader, w~th <br />trade-in of a 1979 Caterpillar 120. Bids to be accepted <br />at 10:00 a.m. on June~ 1994. <br />~:/~/' 7 <br /> <br /> <br />J. Hostler <br />Works Director <br /> <br /> <br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Landis to accept recommendation and set <br />hearing for June 7, 1994 at 10:15 a.m. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, <br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Jan Pelland, County Assessor returned to meeting with report on calls to <br />Douglas, Lancaster & Sarpy counties on valuations. In discussion board <br />members agreed with County Assessor to review subdivisions and target for <br />90% level. <br /> <br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Stelk to authorize County Assessor to review <br />subdivision sales analysis and adjust those subdivisions that warrants a <br />change to a 90% level. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt <br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Frauen to set hearing for June 7, 1994 at <br />1:30 p.m. for hearing on revaluations up to the 90% target. Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Deputy Attorney Jerom Janulewicz returned to meeting in regard to requirement <br />of easement on South Locust interchange for crane habitat protection. <br />Discussion followed. <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Abernethy to authorize Janulewicz to research <br />for an opinion in regard to easement. Abernethy, Frauen, Landis, Leslie, <br />and Stelk voted yes, Quandt voted no, Hartman abstained. Motion carried <br />on 5 yes, 1 no, 1 abstained vote. <br /> <br />Authorized Board Assistant to prepare letter to be sent to District Judge <br />Joseph Martin to be signed by board members at next week's meeting. <br /> <br />Chairman adjourned meeting at 11:58 a.m. due to Election Commissioner wanting <br />to use Board Room this afternoon for preparations for counting of Primary <br />Election ballots this evening.
