<br />- <br /> <br />. 1f~~ -;l~~COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, MAY 3, 1994 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 A.M. from adjourned <br />· session and by published call with Chairman Richard Hartman presiding. <br /> <br />Present were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, <br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie and Gary Quandt. Tammie Stelk was <br />absent. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Leslie. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of April 26th meeting were approved as received, by motion of <br />Quandt, seconded by Frauen. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, <br />Leslie and Quandt voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Dan Hostler, Public Works Director, presented the quarterly road <br />report for January, February and March 1994. Motion made by Frauen, <br />seconded by Leslie to receive and place on file. Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie and Quandt voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />The Hall County Housing Authority sent a recommendation letter to <br />reappointment Deryl E Bayne as a board member for another five year <br />term as of July 1, 1994. After discussion, Quandt made motion, <br />seconded by Landis to advertise for this postion. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie and Quandt voted yes. Frauen voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Leslie - BCBS is to go up 10.4% this next year. Contacted NIRMA <br />concerning disability insurance, they do not offer it, however if <br />there is enough interest they would help us with contacting some- <br />one else who does. <br /> <br />LANDIS - Will be a Re-use meeting tonight at 8 P.M. <br />Local Emergency Planning Committee recommends Donna Tittman, Dick <br />Moorman and Tracy Overstreet as replacements on this 1:>9Cl.:r:-d~ .~Lq~estion <br />was raised concerning the residency of Mr. Moorman. Will check into <br />this and bring this back next week. Also reminded the board of <br />the Re-use public hearing at City Hall on Wednesday and Thursday. <br /> <br />QUANDT - Attended the Library Board meeting on Monday night. <br />Had: abuild)_Ilg& ,groun9-s m~J?j::.in~ tl1eothe.r <iay_. . Will <br />contact and make an appointment to view it this afternoon if <br />possible. <br /> <br />ABERNETHY - $19,000 owed on College Park building, and they <br />still have pledges coming in, so they have no doubt that the <br />building will be paid for. They have raised $10,000 toward the <br />$25,000 match from the Reynolds Foundation for next year, with <br />the match pledge of the same for the next four years if it <br />continues to be matched. <br /> <br />Rod Watson appeared in regard to health insurance for county employees. <br />He requested to be allowed to review our present coverage and make a <br />presentation of costs for Hall County. Mr. Watson is W}tl1 Financial <br />Designs and Management in Grand Island and represent's IBA~Inter-mountian <br />Benefit Administrators) based out of Denver, Colorado. Dawson County <br />and Nuckolls County are two close counties that he does business with. <br />They may be contacted concerning the program. This program can include <br />dental also. Mr. Watson will prepare a presentation for the Board in <br />about 3 weeks. <br /> <br />9:45 A.M. - Leslie left meeting to attend a funeral. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS CONTINUED <br /> <br />ABERNETHY - Kearney Region III Mental Health advisory meeting- <br />needs of family & children report was to be turned into the <br />legislature after LB 433 passed.. , ._ <br />Midland Area on Aging -'yayne~ Decker is helpingwlth <br />special needs classes dealing with the elderly. ---~~ <br />Headstart - Health Advisory Committee meeting, with <br />doctors, nurses and people who deal with 'merita1 health. <br /> <br />9:53 A.M. - Stelk arrived. <br />
