<br />9Lft: //3 <br />.. <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, APRIL 19, 1994 <br /> <br />, The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session <br />and by published call with Chairman'~ichard Hartman presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, <br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. None were absent. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Rev Fred Gardner, United Congregational Church. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of April 12th meeting were accepted as received, on motion by QUandt, <br />seconded by Stelk. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and <br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />County Attorney Ellen Totzke was present. She spoke in regard to the Crime <br />Commission Grant for victim witness program. Also present were City Police <br />Chief Gene Watson, County Sheriff Emmett Arnett and Deputy Jan Steeple. <br />Police Chief Watson explained the grant request, with County to furnish office <br />space and equipment and City is' providing soft match for the grant. <br />No action was taken as this was just information on program for County Board. <br /> <br />Deputy Attorney Jerom Janulewicz spoke in regard to bidding on tax foreclosure <br />property sale to be held next Tuesday. Lot 5 Nabob Subdivision has been with- <br />drawn since taxes have been paid in full. Lot 1 Western Heights Fourth Sub- <br />division was discussed. <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Landis to not <br />Western Heights Fourth subdivision as discussed. <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none <br /> <br />bid on the property of Lot 1 <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussed the authorization of selling county owned excess materials. <br />Janulewicz will prepare a resolution and return to meeting later today. <br /> <br />Chairman Hartman questioned Deputy Attorney about the zoning for Binfield <br />property near Pros~er. Janulewicz will make phone calls and return with <br />results later today. <br /> <br />Commenced audit of monthly claims. <br /> <br />Janulewicz returned with information on the Binfield Property and need to <br />start with Regional Planning Commission and place on County Board agenda. <br /> <br />Morning was spent auditing the monthly claims. <br />Meeting was recessed at 11:55 a.m. to return to session at 1:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Returned to regular session at 1:30 p.m. with all County Board members present. <br /> <br />Discussion on claims audited. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Landis to have floor mats for county court be <br />paid from County Court budget instead of Building & Grounds. Following more <br />discussion motion and second was withdrew. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to authorize payment of monthly claims <br />as audited. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie and Stelk voted yes, <br />Quandt voted.no,on one claim for floor mats. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to adopt Resolution #1559 as presented. <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none <br />voted no.
