<br />f/f~ 1~ <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, MARCH 8, 1994 <br /> <br />T <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session <br />and by published call with Chairman Richard Hartman presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy" Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, <br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. None were <br />absent. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Father Don Buhrman, st. Mary's Cathedral. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of March 1st meeting were accepted as received, on motion by Quandt, <br />seconded by Frauen. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and <br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerom Janulewicz was present. <br /> <br />'Motion by Landis, seconded by Frauen to recess for Executive 'Session for <br />Aurora 'Coop vs Board of Equalization case and also Courthouse security. <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes,none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Executive Session at 9:03 a.m. and returned to regular session at 9:48 a.m. <br />on motion by Frauen, seconded by Leslie. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, <br />Leslie, Quartdt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Pres~nt during Executive Session for Board of Equalization case was <br />County Assessor Jan Pelland, and during session for Courthouse security <br />were Sheriff Arnett and Chief Deputy Steeple. <br /> <br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Abernethy to accept the Criminal Justice Comm- <br />ittee recommendation as presented. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, <br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />The Criminal Justice Committee recommends the Hall County <br />Board of Supervisors implement the Courthouse Security Plan <br />as discussed in ex~ecutive session. <br /> <br /> <br />~~-. ~.( <br />Co ee C ~ obert Leslie <br /> <br /> <br />comn~~Y <br /> <br />/["~~O, S:-\"S\\~... <br />Committee Member Tammie Stelk <br /> <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Stelk' to reject the 15% settlement offer from <br />Auro:a Coop vs Board of Equalization. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, <br />Les11e, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Crim~nalJUstice Committee Chairman Leslie reported District Judge Joseph <br />Mart1n ~ad requested his name sign from his office when he retires. <br />Mot10n by Abe:nethy, s~conded by Frauen, when Judge Martin retires, he be <br />allo~ed to t~ke h1s name s1gn from the office. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, <br />Land1s, Les11e, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Sheriff Arnett answered questions from board members in regard to the 1993 <br />annual report presented'last week. <br /> <br />Attorney Janulewicz presented information in regard to M&W Storage vs <br />Board o~ Equalization.with offer to settle for $50,000.00 for both years. <br />Janulew7cz recommended approving the settlement offer. <br />Mot1on by Fr~uen, seconded by Stelk'to accept the attorney recommendation <br />for settlement w1th M&W Storage. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis Leslie, <br />and Stelk voted yes, Quandt voted no. Motion carried. ' <br /> <br />Attor~ey Ja~ulewicz pre~ented modification agreement with Great Plains <br />Appra1s~1 w1th changes 1n dates for completion of appraisal. <br />~ot10n by Frauen, seconded by Landis to accept the modification agreement <br />as d~scussed.and authorize chairman to sign. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, <br />Land1s, Les11e, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Final Plat for. Eagle View Subdivision; located on the West side of Linden <br />Avenue approximately 525 feet north of Bismark Road. <br />
