He reported opposing LB5ll on manufactured homes. <br />Discussion followed. <br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Abernethy to send letter from County Board <br />opposing LB5ll, to all area State Senators. Abernethy, Leslie and Stelk <br />voted yes, Frauen voted no, Hartman, Landis and Quandt abstained. Motion <br />failed to carryon 3 yes, 1 no and 3 abstain vote. <br /> <br />Nelson Helm reported on the Preliminary Study for Game Bird Subdivision located <br />on north side of Bismark Road approximately 1/4 mile west of Gunbarrel Road. <br />He explained the study and the planning commission had recommended County <br />Board approve the preliminary study subject to possible lot line adjustments. <br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Frauen to approve the preliminary study <br />as recommended. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk <br />voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Chris Peterson, Director of Leadership Tomorrow Group extended invitation for <br />Board members'. t,o attend meeting March I 10, 1994 at Chamber of Commerce offices <br />from l2:0Q noon til 1:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Theresa Kuzelka, Exective Director of Convention & visitors Bureau presented <br />annual report. Drane Haney., Assistant Director and Roger Nygaard were also <br />'present. <br /> <br />10:00 A.M. PUBLIC HEARING - to consider the vacation or abandonment of portions <br />of three county roads: prairie Road, Monitor Road and Chapman Road. <br />Affidavit of publication was presented. <br /> <br />Jack Niemoth,' landowner in the area and lifetime resident of Hall County spoke <br />in regard to closing the roads due to vandalism in the areas. He gave examples <br />of damages and problems. <br />Several residents were present in the audience but no others spoke for or <br />against closing the roads. George Leiser, member of Prairie Creek Township <br />Board was presnt. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Leslie to refer to Township Board for' <br />consent to such abandonment or vacation of roads. Abernethy, Frauen, Hart- <br />man, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Agreement was presented for consideration for snow removal from owners of <br />properties on private road known as Wildwood Drive, for one year, commencing <br />March 1, 1994 for sum of $50.00 per machine hour for labor and services. <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Quandt to approve agreement and authorize <br />chairman to sign. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and <br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Received request from Hooker Brothers Inc for renewal of conditional use' <br />permit for sand and gravel pit located on William Landis property for <br />additional ten year period. <br />
