He reported opposing LB5ll on manufactured homes. Discussion followed. Motion by Stelk, seconded by Abernethy to send letter from County Board opposing LB5ll, to all area State Senators. Abernethy, Leslie and Stelk voted yes, Frauen voted no, Hartman, Landis and Quandt abstained. Motion failed to carryon 3 yes, 1 no and 3 abstain vote. Nelson Helm reported on the Preliminary Study for Game Bird Subdivision located on north side of Bismark Road approximately 1/4 mile west of Gunbarrel Road. He explained the study and the planning commission had recommended County Board approve the preliminary study subject to possible lot line adjustments. Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Frauen to approve the preliminary study as recommended. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. Chris Peterson, Director of Leadership Tomorrow Group extended invitation for Board members'. t,o attend meeting March I 10, 1994 at Chamber of Commerce offices from l2:0Q noon til 1:30 p.m. Theresa Kuzelka, Exective Director of Convention & visitors Bureau presented annual report. Drane Haney., Assistant Director and Roger Nygaard were also 'present. 10:00 A.M. PUBLIC HEARING - to consider the vacation or abandonment of portions of three county roads: prairie Road, Monitor Road and Chapman Road. Affidavit of publication was presented. Jack Niemoth,' landowner in the area and lifetime resident of Hall County spoke in regard to closing the roads due to vandalism in the areas. He gave examples of damages and problems. Several residents were present in the audience but no others spoke for or against closing the roads. George Leiser, member of Prairie Creek Township Board was presnt. Motion by Quandt, seconded by Leslie to refer to Township Board for' consent to such abandonment or vacation of roads. Abernethy, Frauen, Hart- man, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. Agreement was presented for consideration for snow removal from owners of properties on private road known as Wildwood Drive, for one year, commencing March 1, 1994 for sum of $50.00 per machine hour for labor and services. Motion by Landis, seconded by Quandt to approve agreement and authorize chairman to sign. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. Received request from Hooker Brothers Inc for renewal of conditional use' permit for sand and gravel pit located on William Landis property for additional ten year period.
