<br />Supervisor Quandt brought for discussion the comments he had received in
<br />regard to parking at polling places on Primary Election Day. People going
<br />to vote could find no place to park so they could vote. Senior High was one
<br />of places mentioned.
<br />Board members suggested it be referred to Election Committee to meet
<br />with Election Commissioner and see what could be done.
<br />
<br />Doris Mason, Hall County Treasurer requested 2 additional terminals for com-
<br />puterization update of her office. Terminals are to be used in real estate
<br />and bookkeeping at cost of $1100.00 each. Requesting $2200.00 be paid from
<br />the computer line item in the miscellaneous general budget. Discussion followed.
<br />Motion by Abernethy to authorize County Treasurer to purchase the two
<br />terminals from miscellaneous general budget. Motion failed for lack of second.

<br />FollowingmoEe discussion, Motion by Landis, seconded by Quandt to table request
<br />until we-talk to our auditors. Hartman, Landis and Quandt voted yes, Abernethy,
<br />Leslie and Stelk voted no, with Frauen absent, motion failed to carryon tie
<br />vote.

<br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Quandt to have audit committee meet with McDer-
<br />mott & Miller representative by next Tuesday and place on next week's agenda
<br />to discuss purchase again. Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted
<br />yes; none voted no, Abernethy abstained, Frauen absent. Motion carried.

<br />Ellen Merrill, County Board Assistant gave weekly report. (1) need to set
<br />date and time for Audit Committee meeting. (2) Zachary Zoul, City Adminis-
<br />trator had offer to set up tour for board members of the Old City Hall bldg
<br />(3) have letter of appreciation to Housing Authority for lunch last week and
<br />letter of support for Boys Town ready for board members signatures.
<br />Board members approved Merrill to send letters to Wayne French and Daryl Bayne
<br />for appointments made today.

<br />COMMUNICATIONS:
<br />1. Charlotte Lahndorf, in regard to purchase of bookcases in conference
<br />room in courtroom of former Hall County District Judge Martin. (Ellen
<br />Merrill to send letter of information that they cannot be sold only at
<br />auction but other county offices have need for the bookcases)
<br />
<br />2. Letter from Boys Town, requesting letter of support for Boys Town Mid
<br />Plains Shelter for renewing a grant for Runaway and Homeless Youth Basic
<br />Center Program.

<br />3. Letter from Midland Area Agency on Aging confirming meeting on board
<br />agenda for Tuesday, June 14th at 9:30 a.m.

<br />4. Letter from State Auditor of Public Accounts confirming the notice for a
<br />budget seminar to be held July 15, 1994 at 1:00 p.m. in Hall County Super-
<br />visor's meeting room.

<br />5. Each Board Member was given a copy of Memorandums from Nebraska Associa-
<br />tion of County Officals in regard to Out of State Medical Claim Processing,
<br />and the Health Insurance Renewal Rates for July 1, 1994 to June 30, 1995

<br />Motion by Quandt,/seconded by Leslie to authorize chairman signature on

<br />County Assessor r~ported had 185 names on late filing list, Sent letters to
<br />165 of 50% penalty if not filed by May 20th. 100 schedules were sent out
<br />last Friday.
