Arnett to advise that he will retire <br />from law enforcement at end of current term as Hall County Sheriff <br />effective January 1995. <br /> <br />2. Notice from Regional Planning Commission that they will consider the <br />final plat for Eppert Subdivision and White Cloud Subdivision at their <br />meeting on Janaury 5, 1994. <br /> <br />3. State of Nebraska Department of Roads request for designated official <br />county newspapers for 1994 to use for advertising bids for road work <br />in Hall County. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Stelk to place on file the communciations <br />received today. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and <br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />oS <br /> <br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Hartman to designate Grand Island Daily <br />Independent, Cairo Record, Doniphan Herald and Wood River Sunbeam as legal <br />newspapers for publications in 1994. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, <br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Leslie reported on meeting with two Judges, Public Defender and County <br />Attorney in regard to witnesses called for court cases. Will contine to <br />work on it. Leslie presented letter for consideration in regard to <br />rental on properties of Mid Plains Center and Children's Village Center <br />to terminate on June 30, 1994 and negotiate new rentals for July 1, 1994. <br />(Board members agreed to sign letter to be mailed.) <br /> <br />Landis read proposed letter to Governor Nelson in regard to boot camps. <br />(Board members agreed to sign letter to be mailed.) <br /> <br />Ste1k reported on Convention & Visitors Bureau meeting. <br /> <br />Ellen Merrill, County Board Assistant gave weekly report, reminded members <br />of Building & Grounds Committee and also Park Committee meeting on Thursday. <br />Also NACO County Board Workshop to be held February 9 thru 11th, 1994 in <br />Kearney. . <br /> <br />Supervisor Frauen left meeting at 4:09 p.m. <br /> <br />Chairman Quandt adjourned the meeting at 4:14 p.m. Next meeting will be <br />Tuesday, January 11, 1994 at 9:00 a.m. This will be annual reorganization <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />~~~ <br />Marjori Haubo1d, Hall County Clerk <br />
