<br />;9tf~~~I)/ <br /> <br />,~ <br />'.' <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, JANUARY 4, 1994 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session <br />and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt presiding. <br /> <br />Present were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, Margaret <br />Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. None were absent. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Abernethy. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes' of December 21st meeting were accepted as received, on motion by <br />Stelk, seconded by Hartman. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />County Attorney Deputies Jerome Janulewicz and Mark Young were present. <br />Janulewicz spoke in regard to agreement with Wood River Rural High School <br />for County Superintendent of Schools position. Janulewicz to meet with <br />School Attorney to review paragraphs 11, 13 & 14. Committee will meet on <br />December 10, 1994 at 1:00 p.m. in County Board room to review final agreement <br />to be presented to Wood River School Board on Monday night. <br /> <br />Deputy>attorney Young spoke in regard to The Comprehensive Youth Services <br />Plan fora',new""system of juvenile justice in Nebraska. He requested Board <br />Members to watch for Legislative Bills to be introduced. <br /> <br />Discussion on appointment of Public Works Director for 1994. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Frauen to appoint Dan:Hostler, 1994 <br />Public Works Director for Hall County~ Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, <br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussed annual road tour and also petition received at Public Works Comm- <br />ittee meeting this morning. <br /> <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to amend today's agenda to add the <br />petition received to close township road. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Petition ' presented with 14 signatures to close Chapman Road, Southeast <br />~ of the Southwest of 10-12-10 from intersection of Monitor Road and lR Road, <br />prairie Road, Northest of the Northwest Qf~10-12-lQ and Mo~itor Road between <br />sections 9-12-10 and 10-12~10 <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Frauen to accept petition and refer to <br />Public Works Director for recommendation. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Set Tuesday, January 11th following board meeting to start the road tour <br />and continue on Wednesday, January 12th at 1:00 p.m. to meet at Public <br />Works Director's office. <br /> <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Hartman to amend today's agenda to add the <br />discussion on installing flashing lights at Cedar Hollow School location. <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, <br />none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussed the placement of flashing lights. <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Bartman to place flashing lights on <br />Engleman Road, north & south at Cedar Hollow School location. Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted <br />no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Susan Nadolski, Family Violence Coalition gave quarterly report. She also <br />presented a check for One Dollar ($1.00) for 1994 rent, they will be fur- <br />nishing the paint to have the inside of office painted. Nadolski showed <br />a short video of program on NTV television recently. <br /> <br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Frauen to accept and place on file the <br />County Treasurer's miscellaneous receipts as presented. Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no.
