His resignation will be effective January <br />15, 1996. Hartman.made a motion and Rosenkotter seconded to accept <br />and place-on file.----Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, <br />Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the possibility of making the Weed Control <br />superintendent position a part time office or combining it with <br />the Road Department. Abernethy appointed a committee of Landis, <br />Hartman and Stelk to study this. This will be discussed again on <br />January 16. <br /> <br />The committee report on the rotunda painting was received by the <br />board members. Quandt made a motion and Landis seconded to release <br />the check to Mendyk Painting. Abernethy suggested that the Board <br />should have been enformed of the color change and it should have <br />been inspected before the scafolding was removed. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />The Public Works Committee Report on Bridge Project C40(222) was <br />read. Hartman made a motion and Landis seconded to accept and <br />place on file. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotte~ <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. . <br /> <br />The Janitorial Committee met December 14 with G&D Janitorial. <br />committee recommended a 4 year contract. Discussion was held <br />this would have to go out for bids. The committee will check <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz to clarify this. <br /> <br />The <br />if <br />with <br /> <br />Quandt made a motion and Stelk seconded to place the item to set the <br />Public Defender's salary on the January 9 agenda. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Richard Hartman received a request from Mr.Freeman requesting to use <br />the Hall County Park March 14,15 and 16 for the Boy Scouts Jamboree. <br />Hartman made a motion and Leslie seconded to let the Boy Scouts use <br />the park. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and <br />Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Jan Pelland Hall County Assessor presented tax correction notices 198 <br />to 1,126. Rosenkotter made a motion and Hartman seconded to authorize <br />the Chair to sign. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, <br />Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Board Assistant Ellen Merrill's Report - Her weekly progress report <br />was included in the board members's packets. She reported that <br />additional records had been found in the county superintendent's <br />vault and requested authorization to microfilm these. Rosenkotter <br />made a motion and Stelk seconded to microfilm these records. Abernethy <br />.~ Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes <br />and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Board Member Reports - <br /> <br />Leslie - He attended the Stuhr Museum ~Boa~dmeeting. He reported that <br />they are still looking for a pickup. <br /> <br />Landis - She attended the scope of work and the FOP is to be released <br />in 2 weeks. They sent a letter to Tom Shay requesting to be included <br />in the selection of a consultant. <br />
