<br />Dale Johnson, Nebraska Partnership Project spoke in regard to the project for
<br />unified health and human services for Nebraska's future. Also present was
<br />Jean Adkinson, Public Relations Officer.
<br />Present during the presentation were Ray Rabe, City/County Health Dept.
<br />Jerry Ryan, Midland Area Agency on Aging, Brenda Miner, North Central Alcohol-
<br />ism & Drug Counseling and Dick Stalker, St Francis Alcohol & Drug Treatment
<br />Center.

<br />Chairman called short recess at 2:45 P.M. and returned to regular session
<br />at 2:55 P.M.

<br />Ellen Merrill, County Board Assistant gave weekly update report. (1) Rosen-
<br />kotter had reviewed the_Qctober 31st meeting tapes, (2) Dan Hostler and Jean
<br />Fisher had requested ~llen-to attend the GIS Training.
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Stelk to authorize Board Assistant to
<br />attend the GIS Training. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosekotter
<br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Hartman absent. Motion carried.
<br />(3) Letter for Board to sign to send to State Patrol, in regard to training
<br />Center to be located in Grand Island (4) Had letter of response to State
<br />Auditor, in regard to letter on Corrections Director & Jail Facility.
<br />(5) Board of Corrections meeting has been changed from November 21, 1995 to
<br />November 28, 1995. (6) showed desk lights for use by Board members during
<br />meetings for video and recording.
<br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Rosenkotter to authorize purchase of lights
<br />proposed for meeting use from the County Board Budget. Abernethy, Landis,
<br />Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Hartman
<br />absent. Motion carried
<br />(7) Discussed the need for shades for Board Room windows when start video
<br />recording of meeting. Agreed to purchase some type of shades for windows to
<br />be paid for from County Board budget.

<br />BOARD MEMBER REPORTS:

<br />Rosenkotter: Attended Economic'Development Corporation meeting.
<br />
<br />Stelk: Attended Library Board meeting, bookmobile dedication to be Friday
<br />November 10 at the Library, Has Senior Citizen Board meeting to-
<br />morrow.
<br />
<br />Landis; Reported on the letter received from Gary Mader, City Utility Dept
<br />in regard to land use at CAAP. She gave report on the meeting held
<br />yesterday.

<br />Abernethy: Attended Prepared Emergency Planning Meeting, the Weed Control
<br />Board meeting last night and also attended the Emergency Planning
<br />Committee meeting,
<br />
<br />Discussion on the need to purchase Roberts Rule of Order Book for Board Room
<br />use, and whether to purchase hardcover or softcover book.
<br />Motion by Rosekotter, seconded by Leslie to authorize Board Assistant
<br />to purchase hardcover Roberts Rule of Order Book for Board Room use.
<br />Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes, none voted
<br />no, with Hartman absent. Motion carried.

<br />County Board Assistant requested vacation day November 22, 1995. Board
<br />members granted.
<br />
<br />Supervisor Stelk reported on letter she had received from Ellen Totzke in
<br />regard to effect on County for second degree murder cases.
<br />
<br />Supervisor Leslie was excused from meeting at 3:40 P.M. to attend a 4:00 P.M.
<br />meeting.
<br />
<br />County Clerk asked if there were any items for the Agenda for County
