Pride Petition Process and signed <br />by Paul Elsbernd and Gale 0 Larson, expressing support of Hall County Election <br />Commissioner May Kay Shay and her staff for assistance given during petition <br />drive. <br />Mary Kay Shay, Election Commissioner was present during the discussion. <br />Suggestions from board members for salary were 3% increase, the same as <br />given to other appointed officials, $250.00 year and $500.00 year increases. <br /> <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Landis to add Executive Session on today's <br />agenda to discuss personnel. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, <br />and Stelk voted yes, Rosenkotter voted n~. Motion carried. . <br /> <br />Motion by Hartman to have Executive Session. <br />due to lack of second. <br /> <br />Deputy Attorney Janulewicz was called to meeting for discussion on Executive <br />Session. <br /> <br />He later withdrew motion <br /> <br />Motion by Rosenkotter, seconded by Leslie to increase Election Commissioner <br />Salary $500.00 each year for the next 4 years. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, <br />Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes, Quandt voted no and Hartman abstained. <br />Motion carried on 5 yes, 1 no and 1 abstained vote. <br /> <br />Discussion on agreement for Paternity and Juvenile defense cases. Rosenkotter <br />explained the committee meetings with Public Defender to take back these <br />cases. Discussed the recommendation of additional funding to be added to <br />Public Defender budget. <br />Motion by Rosenkotter,seconded by Stelk to request Resolution to <br />transfer funds to line items as proposed from the minutes of October 20, <br />1995 committee meetings. Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes, Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Landis, and Leslie voted no, Quandt abstained. Motion failed to <br />carry_on 2 yes, 4 no and 1 abstained vote. <br /> <br />Supervisor Rosenkotter spoke in regard to County Board policy guidelines <br />received at NACO annual meeting. She felt County Board needs to develop <br />a Board Policy guideline.
