Rosenkotter made a motion and Leslie seconded <br />to authorize. the county clerk's office to sign the sub-group <br />application. According to state statutetni~ could be increased to 29(:. <br />Quandt made a motion 'and Stelk seconded to leave at 27.5(:. Hartman <br />and Quandt voted yes, Irene abstained and Landis, Leslie, Rosenkotter <br />and Stelk voted no. Motion did not carry. (8/8/95 CORRECTION) <br /> <br />The paragraph that was added to the county handbook was presented <br />to the elected and appointed officials. They requested that a line <br />stating "at the discretion of the county official" be added to the <br />paragraph. This would also include telephone calls. Stelk made a <br />motion and Rosenkotter seconded to approve the amended paragraph #10 <br />and add it to the county handbook. 'Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />Discussion on the private practice in the county attorney and <br />I public defendfll"s_Df;fice was held. The compensation to these <br />attorneys who~dono~!have a private practice was mentioned. The <br />board needs to look at the two offices and discuss it at the <br />budget work session. <br /> <br />Communications were reviewed by the board members. The letter <br />from the National Organization on Disability was read by Abernethy <br />requesting a representative from Hall Count~ Abernethy will sign <br />this letter. Communications were accepted and placed on file <br /> <br />11:45 A.M. Stelk made a motion and Leslie seconded to go into <br />executive session on the CWA negotiations. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and <br />none voted no. <br /> <br />11:50 A.M. Leslie made a motion and Rosenkotter seconded to return <br />to regular session. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, <br />Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />BOARD ASSISTANT ELLEN MERRILL <br /> <br />The board authorized Merrill to send a letter to the city approving <br />the appointment to the Health Board and will distribute a memo to <br />the departments concerning the car that is available to the county. <br /> <br />The new page to the county handbook will be distributed to the <br />offices. <br /> <br />Discussion on the judges shared buggets will be 'addressed at the <br />budget work session. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBERS REPORTS <br /> <br />Stelk - She attended the Midland Area on Aging and Jerry Ryan <br />received a 3% raise. She also attended the Criminal Jutice meeting.. <br /> <br />Leslie - He attended the Criminal Justice meeting. He also reported <br />on the I-80 meeting. <br /> <br />Rosenkotter - She attended the Economic Development <br />Midland Area on Aging. <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 12:05 P.M. <br />
