Mr. <br />Bukovinsky will meet again with the insurance commmittee. Quandt <br />made a motion and Landis seconded to add Stelk to the insurance <br />committee. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Quandt and Rosenkotter and <br />Stelk voted yes and none voted no. He will talk to the committee again. <br /> <br />Abernethy presented letters to Kerry and Exon for the boards <br />signature and read a letter she prepared to send to the editor <br />of the Grand Island Independent explaining the process of the <br />reappraisal. She will sign the letter and mail it. <br /> <br />Mic~ael J. Osberg with Insurance and Personnel Services, Inc. of <br />2121 North Webb Road, Grand Island, Nebraska, spoke to the board <br />on the self-insurance process. He stated that his company can <br />offer the same in.suran.c.e__C1.S Regional Insurance Manager ,of Salt Lake <br />Ci ty, Utah. tIe-i\reqv,~sted .t;he-:opp6ft-lihi ty to present his insurance <br />---.-', " ' \ <br />program to the county. ------- <br /> <br />Gary Streeks with Blue Cross presented some information on the <br />c:Laigtspresented from Hall County. Because this is a NACO group <br />:2QQl\this information is not available. Our life insurance policy <br />is tIed to the health insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield also has <br />some self funding insurance. <br /> <br />Rosenkotter madea motion and Quandt seconded to add the ADA <br />recommendations to the agenda. Hartman, Landis, Quandt, Rosenkotter <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Abernethy and Leslie were <br />absent. <br /> <br />Marvin Webb and Sid Cook and the committee met June 9 on the ADA <br />recommendations. Rosenkotter reported on the ADA projects and <br />some of the other repairs that need to be made. The elevator would <br />be out of commission for 5 or 6 weeks. The possibilty of asbestos <br />removal was addressed. Rosenkotter made a motion to do a survey and <br />asbestos testing in the construction areas. No second was made. <br />Motion failed. Various parts of the plans for the remodeling were <br />questioned and reviewed. ..Webb stated that he hand delivered the bid <br />proposals to various local contractors and ~~Jll_.did not reFAeve <br />many~bids._ . This item will be placed <br />on the agenda for June 20 for more discussion. . <br /> <br />Sid Cook spoke to the board on the ADA recommendations and the <br />federal mandates. He stated that on .the~_TitleII_ 4new.sectionswere <br />added~to~theregulatiohs. These will include judicial, legislative <br />and regulatory facilities, correctional facilities, residential and <br />public right of way. The Title III added beaches, golf courses, <br />camp grou~~s ,_ play qr()~nds and boating and fishing areas to provide <br />handicap:.€1ccessl.bility. <br />----------_ r-------- <br /> <br />Rosenkotter reported on a meeting_she atte~q~d on court house <br />security. Hartman made a <br />motion and Quandt seconded. Hartman, Landis, Quandt, Rosenkotter <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />The agreement with David Griffith and Associates was presented. <br />Hartman made a motion and Rosenkotter seconded to approve the <br />
