<br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING JUNE 13, 1995

<br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met June 13, 1995. at 9:00 A.M.
<br />from adjourned session and by published call With Chairman Irene
<br />Abernethy presiding.
<br />
<br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, Margaret
<br />Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt, Judy Rosenkotter and Tammie Stelk.
<br />
<br />Invocation was given by Irene Abernethy.
<br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given.
<br />
<br />Minutes of the June 6 meeting were received and corrections were made.
<br />Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to accept and place on file.
<br />Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all
<br />voted yes and none voted no.
<br />
<br />Marty Totzke from Meadowlane Subdivision filed a petition requesting
<br />a drainage study of this subdivision. This problem is due to the
<br />blockage of the natural flow of water. One individual added dirt and
<br />sod to one ditch and blocked a culvert. They are requesting the
<br />Public Works Department to survey the area and do a study. The
<br />standing water is a serious problem. Quandt made a motion and Stelk
<br />seconded to refer the Meadowlane Subdivision and Skypark Road water
<br />problem to the Public Works Department. Discussion followed. It
<br />was requested that Deputy County Jerry Janulewicz check the sub-
<br />division plat. Quandt withdrew his motion and Stelk withdrew her
<br />second. Quandt made a motion and Stelk seconded to accept the
<br />petition and place on file. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie
<br />Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no.
<br />The study that was requested by the petition needs to be completed
<br />in 30 days. Quandt made and motion and Stelk seconded to refer the
<br />Meadowlane Subdivision water problem to the Public Works Committee
<br />and the Public Works Director. Rosenkotter made a motion and Quandt
<br />seconded to refer to the Public Works Department all areas that have
<br />a serious water problem and to extend a study. Abernethy, Hartman,
<br />Landis, Leslie, Quand~ Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none
<br />voted no.

<br />Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz presented the contract for
<br />the vending service with Ted Hunt from B&T Vending from Broken Bow,
<br />Nebraska. He reviewed the changes that were made. 12% of the gross
<br />candy sales and $2.60 per case for pop and 65~ per can for juice
<br />will be charged for the products. Paragraph 12 referred to the small
<br />candy machines in the building. Discussion was held. Hartman made a
<br />motion and Landis seconded to sign the contract and delete paragraph
<br />12. Discussion followed. Landis made a motion to close debate.
<br />Abernethy, Hartman Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk
<br />all voted yes and none voted no. The motion to sign the contract with
<br />B&T'Vending and delete paragraph 12 'was voted on. Hartman, Landis,Leslie
<br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes., Abernethy and Rosenkotter voted no.

<br />9:50 A.M. Quandt made a m9tion_and ~artman seconded to go into
<br />executive session for CWA'nego~iations~ Abernethy, Hartman, Landis,
<br />Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotte~~~teIK7all voted yes and none voted no.

<br />10:00 A.M. Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to go out
<br />of executive session. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt,
<br />Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no.
<br />
<br />10:00 A.M. Quandt made a motion and Stelk seconded to open the bids
<br />farthe painting of the courthouse rotunda. The following bid was
<br />received.
<br />
<br />Mendyk Painting, 508 West 11th Street, Grand Island, Nebraska
<br />Total bid of $25,200.00.
<br />
<br />A committee including Rick Stepanek, Quandt, Landis and Abernethy
<br />will meet at 9:30 A.M. June 14 with the contractor. Quandt made a
<br />motion and Rosenkotter seconded to refer the bid to Building and
<br />Grounds and the committee. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie,
<br />Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no.
