Quandt made a motion to begin the bid opening for <br />the electronic sound system for the board room. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and <br />none voted no. <br /> <br />The following bids were received. <br /> <br />Business Telecommunication Systems, Grand Island, Nebraska <br /> <br />Total sound system and installation - $ 4,433.50 <br /> <br />Dave Grimes, Grand Island, Nebraska <br /> <br />Sound equipment as per attached list - $2,445.00 <br /> <br />Landis made a motion and Stelk seconded to receive the bids and refer <br />to Howard Maxon, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie,Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes and none voted <br />no. <br /> <br />10:45 A.M. Bid opening for proposals for videotaping meetings. No <br />bids were received for the videotaping. <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION <br /> <br />John Wagoner spoke to the board on the ag-land protest. He requested <br />this be received as communications. Stelk made a motion and Hartman <br />seconded to receive this letter as communications. Abernethy, <br />,~ Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes <br />and none voted no. <br /> <br />John Wagoner is on the Airport Board and he explained the video- <br />taping system they use there. It is a basic system that is not <br />expensive. He invited the board to view the system. <br /> <br />Louise Miller spoke to the board reque~ting that they check out <br />information before they take action. <br /> <br />Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to authorize Irene <br />Abernethy to write a letter to Robert Kerry and James Exon concern- <br />ing the ADA requirements and have the board sign it June 13. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk <br />all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz presented the agreement <br />with David Griffith and Associates. This is on the cost recovery <br />funds that are returned to Hall County. This new agreement would <br />renew the contract for two years. Their fee is $8,900.00 per year. <br />Hartman made a motion and Leslie seconded to approve the agreement. <br />No vote was taken it will be discussed and put on the agenda June 13. <br />Janule~icz presented the Intra-County Agreement for Administrative <br />-\Servl~~s- ~ni Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to adopt the <br />agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. No vote was taken. The <br />correction will be made and put on the agenda June 13. <br /> <br />Hartman explained a problem with an arial sprayer, Blaine Packer. <br />Mr. Packer's landing strip is under water and he questioned if it <br />would be possible to UEE Wood River Road as an emergency landing 'nn_n <br />strip. This would be a temporary situation and he would stop ~raffic <br />when it was necessary for him to land the plane. Hartman spoke-to - <br />Dan Hostler and he suggested drawing up an agreement to cover this. <br />Hartman made a motion and Leslie seconded to allow Mr. Packer to <br />use the road.
