<br />q5~- / 6~ <br /> <br />'"" <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Stelk voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBERS REPORTS <br /> <br />Rosenkotter - She attended the Head Start Policy Board meeting, <br />Economic Development meeting, Veterans Service Board meeting, <br />Elected Officials meeting, Transportation Committee meeting and <br />the Indigent Defense Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Stelk - Indigent Defense Committee meeting, Transportation Committee <br />meeting. She reported on the transportation plan. In order to do <br />this comprehensive plan they will need some STP funds. The city and <br />county STP dollars could be used for this plan. The Handi-bus is <br />for public transportation and if the hours are extended a plan <br />would be necessary. The letter that was sent to the city requesting <br />their support for the Handi-bus was not considered. Hall County <br />has been the only source of funding for the Handi-bus this should <br />be a joint venture. <br /> <br />Landis - She worked on the scope of work and it was sent to Tom Shay. <br />He forwarded his proposal for the scope of work. Tom Shay wants a <br />consultant by July 1. This was for the Reuse Committee. <br /> <br />Leslie - He attended the Nirma 1 and 2 meetings in Lincoln and <br />he will report on the lower premiums. He attended the Stuhr <br />Museum meeting. <br /> <br />Abernethy - Attended the Head Start meeting with representative <br />from other states and the City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Ray Rabe from the Health Department talked to the board concerning <br />the appointments to the Health Board. He stated that there should <br />be three three year terms expiring. He requested that the board <br />wait on the appointment until this is researched for clarification <br />He will contact the clerks office to put it on the agenda later. <br /> <br />Recessed until 1:30 P.M. <br /> <br />1:30 P.M. Returned to regular session. <br /> <br />Trudy Treu with the CAS A program presented figures to the board on <br />the effectivness of other CASA programs in the State of Nebraska. <br />With the passage of LB305 this will require the guardian ad litems <br />to visit children twice in a six month period. These hours can be <br />served by a CASA volunteer. A copy of the proposed budget was <br />presented. She is requesting that this be considered at budget time. <br />Judge Martin stated that these volunteers could save money. <br /> <br />Attorney Michael Johnson presented a temporary agency agreement <br />between Rod Huebner d/b/a/ Hub Lounge and the BSY Hub, Inc. The <br />new owners are requesting approval of the assignment of the <br />satellite Fonner Keno operation.
