BOARD MEMBERS REPORTS Rosenkotter - She attended the Head Start Policy Board meeting, Economic Development meeting, Veterans Service Board meeting, Elected Officials meeting, Transportation Committee meeting and the Indigent Defense Committee meeting. Stelk - Indigent Defense Committee meeting, Transportation Committee meeting. She reported on the transportation plan. In order to do this comprehensive plan they will need some STP funds. The city and county STP dollars could be used for this plan. The Handi-bus is for public transportation and if the hours are extended a plan would be necessary. The letter that was sent to the city requesting their support for the Handi-bus was not considered. Hall County has been the only source of funding for the Handi-bus this should be a joint venture. Landis - She worked on the scope of work and it was sent to Tom Shay. He forwarded his proposal for the scope of work. Tom Shay wants a consultant by July 1. This was for the Reuse Committee. Leslie - He attended the Nirma 1 and 2 meetings in Lincoln and he will report on the lower premiums. He attended the Stuhr Museum meeting. Abernethy - Attended the Head Start meeting with representative from other states and the City Council meeting. Ray Rabe from the Health Department talked to the board concerning the appointments to the Health Board. He stated that there should be three three year terms expiring. He requested that the board wait on the appointment until this is researched for clarification He will contact the clerks office to put it on the agenda later. Recessed until 1:30 P.M. 1:30 P.M. Returned to regular session. Trudy Treu with the CAS A program presented figures to the board on the effectivness of other CASA programs in the State of Nebraska. With the passage of LB305 this will require the guardian ad litems to visit children twice in a six month period. These hours can be served by a CASA volunteer. A copy of the proposed budget was presented. She is requesting that this be considered at budget time. Judge Martin stated that these volunteers could save money. Attorney Michael Johnson presented a temporary agency agreement between Rod Huebner d/b/a/ Hub Lounge and the BSY Hub, Inc. The new owners are requesting approval of the assignment of the satellite Fonner Keno operation. Hartman made motion and Rosenkotter seconded to approve the assignment and sign Resolution #1658. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no.
