<br />C/5F -/ft;7 <br /> <br />.or <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING MAY 23, 1995 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met May 23, 1995, at 9:00 A.M. <br />from adjourned session and by published call with Chairman Irene <br />Abernethy presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, Margaret <br />Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt, Judy Rosenkotter and Tammie Stelk. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Rev. Dominic Decoraro from First Church of the <br />Nazarene. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Deputy A~3 Jerry Janulewicz reported that the Engineering Agreement <br />with Benj~min and Associates was in standard formoand did not see any <br />problems. Hartman made motion and Rosenkotter seconded to accept <br />and authorize the Chairman to sign the agreement. Abernethy, Hartman <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Rosenkotter all voted yes and Stelk voted <br />no. <br /> <br />Dan Hostler requested the date and time be set for the bid opening for <br />the purchase of a motor grader. Hartman made motion and Landis <br />seconded to set the bid opening date as June 20iat 10:00 A.M. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, and Rosenkotter and <br />Stelk voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />Quandt made motion and Leslie seconded to accept the minutes and <br />place on file. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, <br />Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />The Donip~an curfew ordinance was discussed. Quandt stated it <br />may be unconstitutional. Quandt made motion and~Stelk seconded <br />to have Jerry Janulzewicz.draw up a letter requesting an attorney <br />general's opinion on the constitutionality of this ordinance. <br />Hartman, Landis, Quandt and Stelk voted yes. Abernethy, Leslie, <br />and Rosenkotter voted no. <br /> <br />DiscussioIlwasheld on the .letterfrom-Jotm Breslow-concerning". <br />the use of county property for personal use. Janulewiczreceived- .c <br />information from the-Commission on Accountability and Disclosure <br />that this issue will be acted on by the full commission. Quandt made motion and Hartman seconded <br />to~sen~ia copy of the letter from John Breslow to all elected and <br />appointed county officials. Hartman, Landis, Quandt and Stelk <br />voted yes and Abernethy, Leslie and Rosenkotter voted no. <br /> <br />lO:OOA.M. Commence audit of May claims. <br /> <br />The claim from John Burkhardt for $142.00 was held._ Stelk made motion <br />and Leslie seconded to allow all claims except the i claim',i for John <br />Burkhardt and issue warrants. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />The following communications were read: <br /> <br />John Wagoner - Letter stating his concern over the lodging tax <br />that is collected and surrendering the fees to the Chamber of <br />Commerce. This letter will be referred to Ellen Merrill for <br />consideration at budget time. <br /> <br />Corps of, EIlqj.lle_~.J:"s - This letter informed the Central Platte Natural <br />Resou~seIDistr~ of.a refund from the Feasibility Cost Sharing <br />Agr~eme~t. A check ln the amount of $60.97 was received. Quandt made <br />motlon and Rosenkotter seconded to accep~ the check and the deposit <br />of these funds to the General Fund. Abernethy i. Landis, Leslie, Quandt <br />Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none-voted no.
