T~e Se~1or C1t1zens ~ndustr1es meeting will be May 10 and they w11l,d1scuss t~e def1nati6n of the population that can use the Hand1-Bus. Th1s contract will be reviewed and discussed May 16. The City Council and the County Board are to have a joint meeting May 23 at 7:00 P.M. concerning the City County Health Department budget. Howard Maxon will meet with each board individually concerning his budget. at a later date. The appointment of Ms. Mary Morgan Cote to the Hall County Housing Authority was discusssed. Rosenkotter made motion and Stelk seconded to approve the appointment of Ms. Mary Morgan Cote to the board. Abernethy, Leslie, Rosehkotter and Stelk voted yes. Hartman and Quandt voted no. ../ Abernethy read the letter from Don Shuda, Veterans Service Officer, concerning the appointment for Veterans Service Committee member from the Cairo American Legion Post #333. Only one name was submitted for the appointment. Hartman made motion and Leslie seconded to appoint Casey Caswell to be the committee member for another 5 years. Abernethy, Hartman, Leslie, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and Quandt voted no. The following office reports were read: County Court of Hall County, Fines Overload Fines Reimbursement of fees Work Release Attorney fees Copies Nebraska 31,754.16 392.00 2,143.47 2,048.95 150.00 3.00 Clerk of the District Court, fees for Apri1,1995 $4,038.80 Hall County Sheriff Total Fees Earned and COllected $11,040.95 Quandt made motion and Stelk seconded to accept and place on file the office reports. Abernethy, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Quandt made motion and Leslie seconded to go into Board of Equalization. Abernethy, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Rosehkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Marjorie Haubold County Clerk reported a total of 3,143 protests were recieved by her office. 2,857 of these were residential/ commercial protests. May 12 at:9:00 A.M. the Board of Equalization will meet to take final action on the agricultural recommendations. The letter from Jerome Niedfeldt was received. Stelk made motion and Quandt seconded to send to the County Attorney and taken under advisement. Abernety, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stlek voted yes and none voted no. This land was classified as agricultural not residential and Mr Niedfeldt stated he thought it should be residential. Jan Pelland reported that there is a 50% return on the hearing notices that were mailed out. Stelk made motion and Leslie seconded to go out of Board of Equalization. Abernethy, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. The letter from inmate Robert Lade was read. Hartman made motion and Quandt seconded to refer this letter to Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz. Abernethy, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. COMMUNICATIONS The followina communications were read: Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce - A letter inviting the board to a tour of the Monfort Plant. Nelson Helm Regional Planning Commission - A letter informing the board of a change in the fiscal year for first class cities. James Exon- A reply to the boards letter concerning the Wood River/ Warm Slough project.
