<br />Don Shuda, Veterans Service Officer, presented his office report.
<br />Mr. Shuda received his accreditation from the u.S. Department of Public
<br />Affairs. Rosenkotter was given the report from Ombudsman.
<br />A schooling was held in Grand Island with representatives from
<br />several states. Shuda discussed Legislative Bill 64 this bill
<br />would make it more efficent to file claims. A copy of the VA
<br />expenditures per county for 1993, 1994 results are not available yet,
<br />was give to the board. The amount of county and state veterans aid
<br />is less this year than last year. There have not been as many
<br />applications. On the medical services provided the institutions
<br />will usually reduce the bills by 50%. Questions were addressed on
<br />the benefits available to Gulf War veterans.

<br />Resolution *1632 for a load limit on Airport Road from Highway 11
<br />to the Northwest corner of the Ordinance Plant. Hartman made a motion
<br />and Quandt seconded to adopt Resolution *1632. Abernethy, Hartman
<br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes and none
<br />voted no.
