Rosenkotter made motion, Leslie seconded <br />to have the Chairman sign the letter. Abernethy, Hartman, Leslie, <br />Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />The Solid Waste Committee requested a survey of several counties <br />she is working on this. <br /> <br />Requested an agenda be made for Tuesday March 21 work session. <br /> <br />BOARD REPORTS <br /> <br />Quandt reported that there were 5 loads of sewage dumped on Abbott and <br />Airport Road. Referred to the Hall County Sheriff and the Solid <br />Waste Committee. <br /> <br />Rosenkotter - attended the audit committee meeting <br /> <br />Hartman - Mid Nebraska meeting March 15. and attended <br />town meetings <br /> <br />Stelk - Library Board meeting Monday to discuss bookmobile <br />discussion on the old bookmobile. Mentioned the large <br />number of people using the library. <br />Senior Citizens Industries requesting a fence to prevent <br />parking problem and a raise in the meals,of lOco <br />Quandt - Attended Mayors Town Meetings. <br /> <br />Leslie - Attended CNCA meeting. Mentioned the program ca4.ed CAS A <br /> <br />Abernethy - Attended local Emergency Planning Committee <br />Discussed the disposal of pestisides <br />March 18th the state will be picking these up. <br />o Attende~ Weed Control meeting <br />Resumed discussion w1tn Jan Pelland County Assessor the Homestead <br />Exemption'income statements are confidentia~a bill extended the <br />application period. Discussed the new bill on the Homestead <br />reimbursement. The county board needs to designate the public <br />media that the statistic analayis can be published in. Stelk <br />made a motion, Rosenkotter seconded to estabish KRGI and the <br />Grand Island Independent as the licensed broadcast media and the <br />paper of general circulation~. Leslie, Rosenkotter, Quandt. I' Stelk <br />and and Aber_nethy voted yes. '. Hartman abstained. Jan discussed <br />the market value and the assessed value of the residential <br />property. A lot of the problems can be taken care of with the <br />informal protests. She will get back to the board with a <br />tenative schedule for the Board of Equalization Meetings. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Carol Bryant requested more information be given to the news <br />media prior to the meetings. If the information is on the <br />agenda it will be provided to the media. <br /> <br />Hartman and Quandt presented information on the old city hall <br />building. No decision was made will be discussed later. <br /> <br />Requested Don Shuda to meet with the board to go over the <br />progress reports. <br />
