BOARD ASSISTANT ELLEN MERRILL Drafted a letter to Enterprise Zone Association for their budgeted planned expenditures. Rosenkotter made motion, Leslie seconded to have the Chairman sign the letter. Abernethy, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes and none voted no. The Solid Waste Committee requested a survey of several counties she is working on this. Requested an agenda be made for Tuesday March 21 work session. BOARD REPORTS Quandt reported that there were 5 loads of sewage dumped on Abbott and Airport Road. Referred to the Hall County Sheriff and the Solid Waste Committee. Rosenkotter - attended the audit committee meeting Hartman - Mid Nebraska meeting March 15. and attended town meetings Stelk - Library Board meeting Monday to discuss bookmobile discussion on the old bookmobile. Mentioned the large number of people using the library. Senior Citizens Industries requesting a fence to prevent parking problem and a raise in the meals,of lOco Quandt - Attended Mayors Town Meetings. Leslie - Attended CNCA meeting. Mentioned the program ca4.ed CAS A Abernethy - Attended local Emergency Planning Committee Discussed the disposal of pestisides March 18th the state will be picking these up. o Attende~ Weed Control meeting Resumed discussion w1tn Jan Pelland County Assessor the Homestead Exemption'income statements are confidentia~a bill extended the application period. Discussed the new bill on the Homestead reimbursement. The county board needs to designate the public media that the statistic analayis can be published in. Stelk made a motion, Rosenkotter seconded to estabish KRGI and the Grand Island Independent as the licensed broadcast media and the paper of general circulation~. Leslie, Rosenkotter, Quandt. I' Stelk and and Aber_nethy voted yes. '. Hartman abstained. Jan discussed the market value and the assessed value of the residential property. A lot of the problems can be taken care of with the informal protests. She will get back to the board with a tenative schedule for the Board of Equalization Meetings. UNFINISHED BUSINESS None NEW BUSINESS Carol Bryant requested more information be given to the news media prior to the meetings. If the information is on the agenda it will be provided to the media. Hartman and Quandt presented information on the old city hall building. No decision was made will be discussed later. Requested Don Shuda to meet with the board to go over the progress reports.
