<br />Quandt made motion, seconded by Hartman to accept and place on file the
<br />above communications. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt,
<br />Rosenkotter and Stelk, voted yes, none voted no. !

<br />Janitorial bids for' the Administration Building, Social Service Building
<br />and the Courthouse which were received last week were discussed at length.
<br />The Janitorial Services Committee recommended that the Board accept the
<br />bid of G&D Janitorial for $49,848 to provide janitorial service to these
<br />buildings, but also gave the Board several options for bidding.
<br />Hartman made the motion, seconded by Landis to reject all bids and work
<br />a deal with Mid Nebraska's'sheltered workshop. Hartman, Landis and
<br />Leslie voted yes, Abernethy, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted no.
<br />Motion failed.
<br />Landis made motion, seconded by Hartman to accept the low bid. Hartman
<br />and Landis voted yes, Abernethy, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk
<br />voted no. Motion failed.
<br />Rosenkotter made motion, seconded by Stelk to accept'thebid of G&D
<br />Janitorial Services. Abernethy, Leslie, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes,
<br />Hartman ,Bar ~T and Landis voted no. Motion carried.

<br />Deputy County Attorney, Jerry Janulewicz and County Public Defender,
<br />Jerry Piccolo discussed'with the Board , the proposed agreement with
<br />Madison County for Public Defender services. Hartman, Landis and Janu-
<br />lewicz met with Joe Smith, Madison County Attorney and one Madison County
<br />Commissioner Friday and discussed amendments to the interlocal agreement.
<br />The amendments were reviewed and discussed. Landis made motion, seconded
<br />by Hartman to, accept the proposed agreement. After much discussion,
<br />Landis withdrew her motion and Hartman withdrew his second. Hartman
<br />made motion to reject the proposed contract, Landis seconded the moiton.
<br />Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted
<br />yes, none voted no.
<br />Quandt made motion, seconded by Rosenkotter to offer Madison County an'
<br />interlocal corporative agreement like the, proposed one presented except
<br />for, the murder case with a new contract'drawn up'." Abernethy', Quandt,
<br />Rosenkotter and Stelk voted 'yes, "Hartman, Landis and Leslie voted no.
<br />Motion carried.
