9SF-/P Landis made motion, seconded by Leslie to approve the use of past chairman signature stamp for claims and warrants for January. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Commence audit of January claims. Landis reported on Reuse Committee meeting and of the agenda for the meeting at I P.M. on Wednesday, January 25th. Rodney Bass, Mid Plains Center, reported on the financial status of the center and that the general ledger computer system was working well. He stated that the center was looking to contract out a portion of the medical behavioral area. This contract would be with Altacare of Nebraska. This would include office space and help with medicaid and to recruit a full tim~psychiatrist. After this contract was worked out he would bring it back to the Board for approval. Motion made by Leslie, seconded by Quandt for Janulewicz and Bass to work on a tent- ative lease allowing Mid Plains to lease space in the main building. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie,' Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. ~ .~h Mr Bass asked that someone come out to check the air condition~ heating and electrical system. Should have been done on a annual basis but had not been done for about two years. Aberenthy said she would get with Max Boersen and Rick Stepanek to see that this was done. Joel Dalton, Director of Corrections, reported that the Fire Marshal. indicated the fan previously installed in a basement cell was not adequate to meet requirements. He asked that he be able to contract with Alvin & Associates of Omaha for specifications for a wall exhaust fan which would cost $3200. Agreement of board members were for him to get the fan installed. WItS Dalton also indicated that he would rather have vans to carry inmates to work release sites, but would use the car. given to him last week; however he would be scouting for a van that would be feasible for his department. He said that 3 vans for his department is really what he could like to have. Motion made by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to approve proposal for professional engineering servies with Alvine & Associates Inc. for the Hall County Detention Center smoke exhaust and authorize the Chairman to sign.
