<br />Lauri Shultis, Crisis Center played a 911 tape for the Board to listen
<br />to and gave her report of children being sheltered in this last year.
<br />She also told of the case load and workings of her staff and the total
<br />number of people being housed. She will be giving the same report to
<br />other counties in the district for which she serves.

<br />Sheriff Fosket indicated that the price of patrol cars had gone up since
<br />the budget had been approved; therefore he would only be able to obtain
<br />4 cars on the state bid and asked' to approve the ordering of four cars'
<br />before the deadline of February 10, 1995. Quandt made motion to approve
<br />the purchase of the four cars for the sheriff's department, seconded by
<br />Hartman. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted
<br />yes, none voted no. ·
<br />
<br />John Amick and Gene Hughes with the Hall County Historical Society told
<br />of four historical markers they are wanting to place south of the Platte
<br />in the Doniphan area. They asked for sponsorship from Hall County in
<br />application of a grant ~or this purpose. Hartman made motion to approve-
<br />the submitting of the grant with Hall County being the sponsor, Stelk
<br />seconded this motion and authorized the Chairman to sign the application.

<br />Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes,
<br />none voted no.
<br />
<br />1:30 P.M. - Motion made by Stelk, seconded by Landis to enter into
<br />Board of Corrections. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Quandt, Rosenkotter
<br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no.

<br />1:43 P.M. - returned to regular session by motion of Landis, seconded by
<br />Hartman. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Quandt, Rosenkotterand Stelk voted

<br />Hartman motion, seconded by Landis to set a public hearing on Tuesday,
<br />February 7th at 10:00 A.M. for the requested change of land use District,
<br />from AG-2 land use to TA-1 land use District for lots for homes located
<br />in Tract of land comprising part of the North Half of Northeast Quarter
<br />(N~ NEl) of Section 32, Township 10 North, Range llWest of 6th P.M.
<br />Hall County Nebraska. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Quandt, Rosenkotter
<br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no.
<br />
<br />Nelson Helm, Regional Planning Director, discussed lot sizes and growth
<br />in Grand Island. Board members asked that the item of lots of 20 acre
<br />minimum for home sites in Hall County be put on the agenda for the 31st
<br />of January.
<br />
<br />Hartman reproted that interviews had been held for a new Health Department
<br />Director and one man had been offered the position; however he had turned
<br />down the job. The Health Board would meet this Thursday at 6P.M.
<br />
<br />Stelk made motion, seconded by Quandt to accept the officials bond on
<br />Geroge Wanitschke and Robert Humiston Jr, both on the Weed Control Board.
<br />Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes,
<br />none voted no.
<br />The bond for Larry Harnisch for the schools was presented and questioned
<br />since the bond stated that he was an elected official and stated his
<br />term of office. UNICO Group, Inc., the agency issuing the bond will be
<br />contacted for a correction and item put on the agenda at a later date.

<br />2:33 P.M. - Quandt made motion, seconded by Hartman to enter into a
<br />Board of Equalization. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Quandt, Rosenkotter
<br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no.
