She wanted to know if others <br />other. than-Quandt wanted to attend. <br />Merrill also asked for input for special needs and desires for a new <br />recording and sound system, since the current one is no longer working <br />properly and a new one is need of purchase. Board decided to consult .with <br />Howard Maxon, Communications Director and if he could work with Merril on <br />this matter. <br /> <br />Maxon appeared concerning the item on the agenda with a review of the <br />Central Nebraska Emergency Medical Servies agreement with KRGI for lease <br />of-tower space. He ask that a this be referred to the County Attorney for <br />a new agreement. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and <br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />When asked about sound system and what he would recommend for the Board <br />room. He recommended a microphone for each person.to give you a balanced <br />impute He said he would be glad to work on this project. He indicated <br />that ADA requirements might should be considered. He was asked to work <br />with Merrill on this. ~ <br /> <br />Frauen made motion, seconded by Leslie to change Board of Corrections <br />meetings from the 4th Tuesday of each month to the 3rd Tuesday at 10:30 <br />A.M. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted <br />yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Quandt made motion, seconded by Frauen to open public hearing on the <br />conditional use permit for Fant Broadcasting Co. of Nebraska. Aberenthy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted <br />no. <br />Roger Muckel, 3209 Valley View, Grand Island objected to the permit for <br />a new tower to be put up as he owns a business' air strip, close by and <br />he feels it would be in the path of the runway. <br />Bernie Bockerman of Prosser said he owns the tower that was currently <br />being used by Fant Broadcasting, but has not been able to a new agreement. <br />Roger Derr of Wood River was representing his parents who own the land <br />in consideration for the permit and. he approves the tower, and did not <br />feel that it would be a hinderance to the planes and Mr Muckel's air <br />stripe. <br />Jeff Marousek representing Fant Broadcasting Company said the tower would <br />be 620' and could be used for television and radio stations. He asked for <br />Board approval, but the Board decided to place it on agenda for next week <br />at 10:40 A.M. by motion of Quandt, seconded by Leslie. Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br />Motion made by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to close this hearing. Abernethy, <br />Frauei, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Quandt made motion, seconded by Abernehty to open hearing for a conditional <br />use permit for David G.K. Werner~ Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, <br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br />Richard Rae, representing Werner Construction explained the location and <br />the use of the land for a sand and gravel operation. This land is owned <br />by Werner and is south of AIda. <br />Don Schrock, AIda, voiced concern about the drainage and the use of the <br />bridge near the site. He also requested stop signs to control traffic at <br />one of the intersections close by. <br />Motion made by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to place this back on the agenda <br />next week at 10:50 A.M. with stipulations concerning the permit. Abernethy <br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br />Quandt made motion to close this hearing, seconded by Abernethy.
