<br />95F-/ <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING - JANUARY 3, 1995 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:05 A.M. from adjourned <br />i session and by published call with Vice Chairman Tammie Stelk presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Margaret <br />Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. Richard Hartman <br />was absent. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Rev. Richard Bacon, First Christian Church. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Motion-to approve the minutes of December 27th meeting was made by Quandt, <br />seconded by Landis. Abernethy asked that corrections of spelling and <br />typing errors be corrected. She gave the corrections to the Deputy Clerk <br />to make. <br />Richard Hartman arrived at 9:08 A.M. The meeting was turn over to him and <br />he called for the vote on the motion and second of the approval of minutes. <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, <br />none voted no. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney, Jerry Janulewicz, discussed the modification made <br />in the agreement with the Family Violence authorizing that office to use <br />the vacated Supt of Schools rooms. This agreement did not include the vault <br />area of this suite. Agreement was with the Board members to have it stated <br />in this agreement that the Family Violence Coalition would come back to <br />the Board at the end of the agreement for renewal. Janulewicz said he <br />would have it changed and bring it back later. <br /> <br />Landis asked Janulewicz when he would have an opinion on the proposed <br />South Locust Interstate 80 interchange. He said he would give his opinion <br />next week and then if the Board wanted an opinion from the Attorney <br />General's he would make the request concerning placing this item to the <br />vote of the people. <br /> <br />The Clerk's office was requested to give more details of items put on <br />the Board's agenda and to put together a packet of information to be sent <br />to each Board member along with the agenda and minutes. The Deputy Clerk <br />agreed to help in this matter. <br /> <br />Dan Hostler, Public Works Director, presented an alternate quote for a <br />box culvert on project C40(253), bridge 4A4. Abernethy made motion, <br />seconded by Stelk to approve the Super-cor box culvert be used on this <br />project. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk <br />voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />The-agreement with the Family Violence Coalition was returned with the <br />addition made. Abernethy made motion, seconded by Frauen to approve this <br />agreement. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie and Stelk voted yes, <br />Quandt voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Official bonds were submitted for the term of office of January 5, 1995 <br />through January 7, 1999 for Ellen Totzke - County Attorney, Doris Mason - <br />County Treasurer, Linda Zimmerman - Clerk of the District Court, Janet <br />Pelland - County Assessor, Jean Fisher - Register of Deeds, Marjorie <br />Haubold - County Clerk, James Fosket - Sheriff, Dan Hostler - Surveyor, <br />Irene Abernethy - County Supervisor, Richard Hartman - County Supervisor, <br />Gary Quandt - County Supervisor and Judy Rosenkotter - County Supervisor. <br />Frauen made motion, seconded by Stelk to accept these bonds and place <br />them on file. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and <br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Abernethy made motion , seconded by Frauen to d.esignate the following <br />banks for depositories for 1995: <br />FirsTier Bank - Grand Island <br />Five Points Bank - Grand Island <br />Norwest Bank, Nebraska - Grand Island <br />(Overland National Bank - Grand Island <br />-Union Bank and Trust Co - Grand Island <br />-United Nebraska Bank - Grand Island <br />Bank of Doniphan - Doniphan <br />Bank of Wood River - Wood River <br />.The State Bank of Cairo - Cairo <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, <br />none voted no. <br /> <br />Motion made by Abernethy, seconded by Stelk to designate the Grand Island <br />Independent, the Doniphan Herald, the Cairo Record and the Wood River <br />
