Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motioh by Hartman, seconded by Quandt to go to impasse with the Public <br />Defenders Organization and to adopt Resolution #96-0066 Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION# 9'~- OCJ~ ~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING IMPASSE IN NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN THE COUNTY <br />OF HALL AND THE HALL COUNTY PUBLIC DEFENDERS ORGANIZATION AND <br />IMPOSING PORTIONS OF THE COUNTY'S LAST BEST OFFER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors appointed Mark Y Olmg and Jerry <br />Janulewicz to represent the County of Hall, hereinafter referred to as "County," in labor contract <br />negotiations with representatives of the Hall Cowrty Public Defenders Organization, hereinafter <br />referred to as "Union"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors and its representatives have engaged in <br />good faith negotiations with the Union in an attempt to establish by agreement wages, benefits, <br />terms and conditions of employment for assistant cowrty public defenders represented by the <br />Union; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Union rejected the ColUlty's last best contract offer on October 2, 1996, <br />after several negotiation sessions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors believe said last best contract offer to <br />be a true reflection of comparability of wages, benefits, terms and conditions of employment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County rejects the Union's last proposal, finding said proposal to be <br />unreasonable, excessive, and not in the best interests of the Cowrty. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HALL COUNTY BOARD OF <br />SUPERVISORS that an impasse be hereby declared in negotiations between the Cowrty and the <br />Union. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that effective today the following articles and sections as <br />set out in the County's last best contract offer, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein by reference, by hereby imposed as terms and conditions of employment for all assistant <br />public defenders employed in the office of the Hall County Public Defender, to wit: <br />
