Motion carried. <br /> <br />GI-Hall Co Emergency Management September 1996 repbrts <br /> <br />Mid-Plains Foster Care Services report for september <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: Motion by Quandt, seconded by Hartman to receive and <br />place on file the communications received today. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD ASSISTANT REPORT: Ellen Merrill had provided written weekly <br />progress report. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD MEMBER REPORTS: <br /> <br />Long - Attended meeting with City representatives on Conditional Use Permit, <br />also on tour to several locations in county with Public Works and <br />Conditional Use Permit Committees. Attended Midland Area Agency <br />on Aging meeting and toured the Luzenac America talc plant east <br />Grand Island. <br /> <br />Abernethy - Attended Vending Service Committee meeting, Merit Commission <br />meeting and College Park Board meeting. <br /> <br />Leslie - none <br /> <br />Quandt - Vending Service Committee meeting, and Midland Area Agency on <br />Aging meeting. <br /> <br />Landis - Reuse and Public Works Committe meetings. Had already reported <br />on the salvage vehicle location. Also have location on east side <br />north on Quandt Road where shingles are being dumped into dry creek- <br />bed. Requested Board members to look at the area. <br /> <br />Hartman - Was also the tour for Public Works Committee and reported on the <br />visit to site near Doniphan and the Lauvetz fence to be moved before <br />will allow gate to be locked. <br /> <br />Stelk - Attended Transportation Committee meeting and the Channel 10/11 <br />Government affairs meeting. <br /> <br />REGIONAL PLANNING DIRECTOR QUARTERLY REPORT: Dave Barber, Regional plann <br />ning Director had presented written report for review for the third quarter <br />of 1996, his first three months on the job. He reported the technician of <br />department had surgery and was out for 2 months and secretary has submitted <br />resignation so is interviewing applicants now. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to accept the written report <br />and place on file. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt <br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />Hartman asked for discussion on letter from Hall County Housing Authority <br />in regard to closing the road behind Mid Plains Center for Professional <br />Services. will have Attorney Janulewicz look into the closing of road. <br /> <br />Landis questioned the appointment of Visitor Promotion Board member item <br />being removed from today's agenda. Thought appointment was to be made by <br />November 1st. <br /> <br />Abernethy - Reported exhibit on US Presidents is on display at Stuhr <br />Museum and encouraged members to go see the exhibit. <br />
