<br /> <br />r~r- 37'~ <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISOR SPECIAL MEETING, OCTOBER 28, 1996 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 7:00 p.m. in special session <br />by published call, in County Board meeting room, 121 South pine, Grand <br />Island. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chair Tammie Stelk. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Richard Hartman, Margaret Landis, <br />Robert Leslie, Huey Long, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. <br />Irene Abernethy arrived at 7:05 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENT were County Attorney Ellen Totzke, Public Works Director Dan <br />Hostler, Building Inspector Max Boersen, Regional Planning <br />Director Dave Barber, News media representatives Heather Hooper, <br />Grand Island Independent and Tracy Overstreet, KRGI Radio. <br />There were approximately 35 to 40 people present during the Public Hearing. <br /> <br />The reason for the special meeting was to conduct Public Hearing to consider <br />a Conditional Use permit request from Bosselman Inc, to construct a sewage <br />lagoon system in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 Section 23, TION, RIOW Hall County. <br /> <br />Affidavit of publication was read as published in Grand Island Independent <br />on Thursday, October 17, 1996. <br /> <br />Margaret Landis, Chairman of Conditional Use Permit Committee made opening <br />statements. <br /> <br />Supervisor Hartman read the following Conditional Use Permit Committee <br />report: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />/)J <br />, / 0~ <br />Committee Member H.T <br /> <br /> <br />Letter was read from Chuck Bosselman, President Bosselman Companies. <br /> <br />October ~8, 1996 <br /> <br />TO: Hall County Board Of Supervisors <br /> <br />RE: Wastewater Lagoon for Bosselman Travel Center <br /> <br />In the initial meeting there were three items of concern: <br /> <br />1) Impact on the 100 year Flood Elevations <br />2) Seepage of the lagoons <br />3) Odor of the lagoons <br /> <br />You have copies of letters from Harold Christensen to Regional Planning Commission. <br /> <br />You have a copy of the letter from Jim Musilek from Mid-State Engineering & Testing. <br /> <br />You have copies of letter from Gene Brady, Brady Engineering in reference to flows and odors. <br />
