<br />9~;: - ~_Il <br />County Asse~sor Jan Pelland, requested the Board to place on next week's <br />agenda a Board of Equalization meeting to set hearings for undervalued and <br />omitted properties for October 22, 1996 at 10:00 a.m. Must give 10 days <br />notice prior to hearing. <br /> <br />5L <br /> <br />COUNTY BO~RD ASSISTANT REPORT: Ellen Merrill had provided written progress <br />report, had proposed letter to Grand Island Fire Department for Board members <br />to sign. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD MEMBER REPORTS: <br /> <br />Quandt - none, has discussion for unfinished business. <br /> <br />Landis - Attended CNCS meeting in Loup City. This was her last meeting as her <br />term on the CNCS Board expires. Supervisor Long will replace Landis <br />as County Board representative. <br /> <br />Hartman - Attended NRD meeting and gave report. <br /> <br />Long - Attended Economic Development meeting, gave brief report. Attended <br />the NACO Central District Meeting in Kearney last Thursday and attended <br />the Long Range Planning Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Abernethy - Attended the NACO Central District Meeting in Kearney and the <br />Long Range Planning Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Leslie - Attended the NACO Central District Meeting in Kearney, attended the <br />Long Range Planning Committee meeting and he serves on an Animal Con- <br />trol Committee with City of Grand Island as a citizen not as a County <br />Board representative. He will place discussion on next week's County <br />Board agenda for information and County Board input. <br /> <br />Stelk - Attended the Long Range Planning meeting, gave a brief report. Will <br />attend Health Board Meeting tonight(to be held in County Board Meeting <br />room) and reminded Board members of District Transportation Meeting <br />in st Paul on Thursday evening. <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: Hartman, Chairman of Public Works <br />Committee read the following recommendation. <br />The Hall County Public Works Committee recommends that the Hall County Board of <br />Supervisors accept bids on the following asphalt overlay projects: <br /> <br />Shady Bend Road - North of Highway 34 to the Grand Island City Limits for <br />2-3/4 miles, 2-1/2" of Type 4 Asphalt. <br /> <br />Husker Highway - 1 Mile west of the Southwest Comer of the Ordinance Plant <br />with 2" Type 7C Asphalt. <br /> <br />Airport Road - 1 Mile west of the Northwest Comer of the Ordinance Plant <br />with 2" Type 7C Asphalt. <br /> <br />The Public Works Committee suggests that the... b. ids be acce. pted.. until 10;00 ~. .:/m. n <br />Tuesday, October 8, 1996. ,8- V 4~ <br /> <br /> <br />Ric d Hartman - Chairman <br /> <br />flIl:~i ~ <br />Margaret. andis /J <br />/j, / <br />~ I' <br />.. ..., '" .' <br /> <br />Huey Long <br /> <br /> <br />~~.~~ <br /> <br />Daniel J.
