C(b/~ ,73/ :J- WHEREAS, the Hall County Public Defender's Office is no longer providing services to new clients in Madison County, Nebraska; and the Hall County Public Defender is refusing to provide representation to person involved in juvenile, paternity or child support contempt cases in Hall County, Nebraska; and WHEREAS, the Board requested that the Hall County Public Defender meet with the County Board and explain the need for four assistant Hall County Public Defenders and the Public Defender chose not to participate in the Board meeting; and WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors has examined the statistics available to it concerning case loads and representation levels of the Public Defender's Office. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that the County Board of Supervisors determines that the number of assistant Hall County Public Defenders who are reasonably necessary to permit the Hall County Public Defender's Office to effectively and competently represent the clients of the office is three. The Hall County Board of Supervisors hereby sets the number of assistant Hall County Public Defenders at three and does not approve the hiring of a fourth assistant Hall County Public Defender. ~/6) 19CJb ~ ' ~~ PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: NONE David Barber, Regional Planning Director was present. Final ~lat for D & J Subdivision located north of Old Military Road, approxlmately 966 feet east of Cameron Road was presented for consideration. Motion by Hartman, seconded by Quandt to approve and authorize chair to sign final plat. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. Motion by Quandt, seconded by Hartman to accept and place on file the County Treasurer's report of 1994, 1993 and prior years delinquent personal property taxes-for total of $84,081.91 Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
