He read the following written report. July 2, 1996 Public Works Committee Report The Public Works Committee recommends the Hall County Board of Supervisors send a letter to the State of Nebraska, Dept. of Roads asking them to do a tr~c stu~y at the intersection of Airport road and Hwy. 281 to see if it warrants a ~raffic sIgnal m place of the flashing lights. This request is being made after several constItuents .have reque~ted something be done because of the dangerous intersection and all the aCCIdents at this location. Daniel J. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. Long - Attended Midland Area Agency on Aging meeting in Hastings. Abernethy - Attended the 20th Anniversary Habitat for Humanity. Leslie - None Stelk - Attended the 20th Anniversary Habitat for Humanity (2) Attended Midland Area Agency on Aging meeting, Long is new member on the committee for County Board (3) Attended Library Board meeting. Hartman - Need to consider placing blinking lights at the Husker Highway and Highway 11 intersection. Doniphan and Highway 281, still needs to have lights at the intersection. Supervisor Leslie suggested a joint letter of support to the State Department of Roads from the Doniphan Village, Doniphan School Board and the County Board. Motion by Long, seconded by Abernethy to recess for Board of Equalization meeting. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
