t7br-/~O c- o MID-NEBRASKA INDIVIDUAL SERVICES QUARTERLY REPORT: David Bass, Director Mid Nebraska Individual Services gave quarterly report and update on services. He presented each board member a copy of their April newletter. AMUSEMENT LICENSE - GRAND ISLAND SADDLE CLUB: Renewal Application for Amusement License for Grand Island Saddle Club for June 23, 1996 to the June 22, 1997 for operations at Kuester's Lake area was presented for approval. Motion by Rosenkotter, seconded by Abernethy to approve the renewal of license for 1 year. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. 11:00 A.M. COMMENCED AUDIT OF MONTHLY CLAIMS. Reviewed claims submitted and discussion on several. Motion by Quandt, seconded by Abernethy to approve claims as audited and authorize payment except deny claim #96040206 General Collection $517.20, claim #96040215 Green County Missouri Sheriff $360.00 and claim #96040305 Oasis Counseling International $280.00 due to fact they were submitted long after the 90 day limit and County Treasurer $11.84 for payment to Sam's Club. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes, Hartman voted no. Motion carried on 6 yes, 1 no vote. COUNTY BOARD ASSISTANT REPORT: Had presented written update report in the weekly packets. Board Members discussed the phone call Board Assistant had received from customer about the Treasurer's motor vehicle department. Board Members asked that Doris Mason, County Treasurer be placed on next week's agenda to discuss with her the use of new Motor Vehicle Department window and update on services. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS: Quandt - none Landis - Attended the grant committee meeting, it was not called by the County Board, but she did not know news media were not invited. Attended Criminal Justice Committee meeting and will have a Paunch Committee meeting this Thursday at noon. Hartman - none Rosenkotter - Economic Development meeting. Abernethy - Attended meeting at Head Start, Mid Plains Center, Criminal Justice committee. Leslie - Mid Plains meeting, and Criminal Justice Committee meeting Stelk - Attended Criminal Justice and Paunch Committee meetings Chairman Stelk reported on Committee members, she will not change list of committee members and will not accept any resignations from committee, we are board members and need to work together as a team. Supervisor Hartman to chair the Paunch Committee since Landis reported she may have a conflict of interest since she had paunch applied to her farm ground. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Supervisor Abernethy questioned the grant application, Boys & Girls Home proposed grant was $30,000. to $50,000. for county share, now the one with the Juvenile Service Committee proposal is $150,000. for county share. Supervisor Abernethy requested someone toattend the May 6th, Emergency Manage- ment meeting at 9:30 a.m. at City Hall since she has another meeting to attend. Rosenkotter volunteered to attend the meeting. OLD BUSINESS: Yant Equipment Inc proposal was presented for fuel handling system at the Grand Island location for Highway Department. Original proposal was $48,487.72 and have negotiated and now have proposal reduced to $36,915.97. Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Rosenkotter to accept Yant Equipment proposal for $36,915.97 Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. JAIL TOUR: Quarterly jail tour was again postponed until next week. Will take tour at 8:30 a.m. prior to regular County Board Meeting.
