Discussion on selection of rural member from <br />Regional Planning Commission. Agreed Hartman could recommend the selection <br />of rual member to committee. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Rosen- <br />kotter and Stelk voted yes, Quandt voted no. Motion carried on 6 yes, I no <br />vote. <br /> <br />supervisor Hartman recommended Imogene Lechner, Regional Planning Commission <br />member to serve on the Regional Planning Director selection committee. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Landis to appoint Imogene Lechner to the <br />Regional Planning Committee and if she can't then Jerry Dibbern or Bill <br />Hayes serve as alternate. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, <br />Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Stelk - Attended Regional Planning Committee meeting, Senior Citizen Indust- <br />ries meeting, they have .awarded two scholarships from bingo money, <br />Attended Paunch Manure Committee and the Joint Purchasing committee <br />meetings. <br /> <br />NEBRASKA CRIME COMMISSION GRANT: There were 15 in audience. <br />Jeff Hackett, representative Boys & Girls Home & Family Service Inc, <br />Sioux city Iowa spoke and answered questions in regard to the grant applica- <br />tion. Questions and comments were discussed. Supervisor Landis reported on <br />her phone survey of such facilities in Nebraska. Rosenkotter and Abernethy <br />reported on their visit to the facility in South Sioux City, Nebraska. <br />MOTION by Rosenkotter, seconded by Abernethy, the Hall County Supervisors <br />agree to be the fiscal agent for the Crime Commission grant. More discussion <br />followed. <br />Others speaking were Sheriff James Fosket who is also chairman of the <br />Hall County Juvenile Services Committee, Gina Baker, Director Boys Town in <br />Grand Island, Rodney Bass, Mid Plains Center and Richard Pope, Boys & Girls <br />Home of Nebraska, South Sioux City, Nebraska. <br />Discussed the Hall County Juvenile Services Committee letter with their <br />recommendation. <br />Jeff Golden, Crime Commission and also Deidre Mack, 223 Voss Road, Grand <br />Island spoke in regard to the grant. <br />Motion by Rosenkotter, seconded by Abernethy to amend the original motion <br />to read: Hall County Board agree to act as fiscal agent for the Juvenile <br />Services Act Grant proposal as approved and presented by the Hall County <br />Juvenile Services Committee.
