8. DISCUSS AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN THE CHANGE IN MODE OF DELIVERY <br /> AGREEMENT WITH THE USPS FOR PLACEMENT OF MAILBOXES ON THE HALL COUNTY <br /> CAMPUS— McFarland stated that the United States Post Office is proposing to place outside <br /> mail boxes outside of the buildings on the Hall County campus. They will be placed by the <br /> Administration Building, the County Attorney, and Public Defenders Building. The boxes will be <br /> at no cost to the county at this time but if we were to wait it would be the responsibility of the <br /> county. They will deliver the boxes and maintain them. The certified mail will still be delivered to ' <br /> the offices. <br /> McFarland made a motion and Schuppan seconded to sign the delivery agreement with the <br /> United States Post Office. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola <br /> all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 17 EXECUTIVE SESSION — BARGAINING STRATEGY CONCERNING LABOR AGREEMENT <br /> WITH HALL COUNTY PUBLIC DEFENDERS ORGANIZATION —McFarland made a motion <br /> and Purdy seconded to go into executive session. This executive session is to protect the <br /> public interest. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes <br /> and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 10:00 a.m. executive session <br /> 10:20 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Purdy seconded to go out of executive session. No <br /> other subjects were discussed and no action was taken. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, <br /> Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 17B CONSIDER & TAKE ACTION REGARDING PROPOSED LABOR AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN HALL COUNTY 8� HALL COUNTY PUBLIC DEFENDERS ORGANIZATION FOR <br /> JULY 1, 2013 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2015 - Jerry Janulewicz was present and stated that this is <br /> a 2 year agreement with the union and the goal was to keep the pay and employment benefits <br /> with the public defender attorneys and the county deputy attorneys the same upon approval of <br /> the budget. This agreement is just a continuation of the past goals. <br /> Purdy made a motion and Ziola seconded to approve the 2013 to 2015 labor agreement with <br /> the Public Defenders Organization. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan <br /> and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 9. CORRECTION STEERING COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION — REGARDING BID FOR <br /> PHARMACEUTICAL SERVICES FOR HALL COUNTY CORRECTIONS <br /> Ziola stated that the corrections steering committee met regarding the bid opening for the <br /> pharmaceutical services. Only one bid was received from the current vendor and it is the <br /> recommendation of the committee to reject the bid and advertise for bids again. <br /> The new bid specifications wi�l address how the meds are supplied and the issue of returning <br /> unused meds. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Ziola seconded to reject the bid from U Save Pharmacy and come <br /> back with a new RFP and re bid the services. Lancaster stated that it is not the local bidder <br /> they just want competitive bids. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and <br /> Ziola all voted yes and none voted no.
