The addition of The American Legion Ball Field and recently approved batting cages <br /> approved by the Mall County Board af Supervisars located within the Hall County <br /> Veterans Memorial Park adjacent to the Veteran5 Home for easy member access <br /> x). State Legislation allowing the word "VETERAN" to be printed on Nebraska Drivers <br /> Licenses and ID Cards that was initiated by the Hall County Board Chair <br /> y). Hall County Board of 5upervisars support and endor5ement of the Hall County <br /> Board Chair to 5erve as the Chair of the National Committee of Veterans, Military <br /> and Families Committee <br /> All of the above listed activities are either sponsor�d by and/or attended by many members <br /> af the Grand Island community and Hall County residents. As noted many af the activities have <br /> large local Veterans Organization support and many thousands of local volunteer hours to <br /> insure that the members of the Grand Island Veterans Home receive special recognitian and <br /> appreciati�n. <br /> 2�. Assist with inquires on service lines and with applications to the State Veterans Home <br /> a). Mall County will provide a positive attitude while visiting with veterans and their <br /> families relating ta possible admission of potential applicants <br /> b). Hall County has and will continue to provide information of eligibility and financial <br /> casts to potential members and refers veterans and their families to the apprapriate <br /> Office for the application process <br /> c). Hall County recognixes that traditionally over fifty percent of the admissions are <br /> from Hall County and the immediate surrounding area. <br /> 3). Recognize that the State Veterans Homes must comply with regulations and standards af <br /> care and pr�vide support and understanding to member families regarding compliance with <br /> these regulations and standards. <br /> a). Hall County Nebraska supports and understands the need to comply with all <br /> regulations and standards regarding member compliance <br /> b). Hall County understands and respects the role of the administration of the <br /> Grand Island Veterans Home which is to comply with regulations and 5tandards as <br /> set by Federal and State Law and Hall County will comply with those decisions. <br /> c). Hall County recognizes its' role as being supportive of the Grand Island Veterans <br /> Home and ta inform, encourage and assist in any way eligible veterans and their <br /> eligible family members to apply for membership at the Grand Island Veterans Home. <br /> page 2 af 4 <br />
