RECOGNIZE DON KOHTZ FOR 50 YEARS O� SERVICE AS A FIREMAN - Mr. Quandt <br /> stated he wanted to recognize Mr. Kohtz for his y�ars af service as a fireman. They reviewed <br /> his years of service and noted his participation and accamplishments. He has seen a lot of <br /> changes and has served his community well. Chairman Lancaster presented Mr. Kohtz with the <br /> golden ax and thanked him and his family. <br /> 8. DISCUSS INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH GRAND ISLAND RURAL FIRE <br /> DEPARTMENT REGARDING REPAIRS TO BUILDING — Mr. Schuppan stated that the <br /> committee and Mr. 5herlock met and discussed this issue. The shed needs repairs and the fire <br /> department stated that they will put in a new furnace and clean it up. The County is responsible <br /> for the structure and it is in need of repairs the doors need new seals and the overhead door <br /> needs to be replaced. The committee discussed that these repairs shauld not came aut af the <br /> Road Department budget but out of the general fund. Mr. Sherlock stated that the overhead <br /> door can be replaced far$2,086.00 and all the repairs shouldn't be over$2,500.00. Mr. <br /> Schuppan stated that they would like to proceed with the repairs. They will also work on a new <br /> inter-local agreement. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Schuppan seconded to authorize Mr. Sherlock to replace the <br /> overhead door and the other repairs not to exceed $3,000.00 and this will be paid aut of <br /> miscellaneous general miscellaneous line item. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 9. DISCUSSION REGARDING COUNTY CAMPUS SECURITY —VIDEO SYSTEM <br /> County Sheriff Jerry Watson stated that he replaced the analog recording system far the <br /> security cameras in the court house with a digital system. They now have 25 cameras and the <br /> old box that cauld be used in the Administration Building or other buildings. If the other <br /> departments are interested in cameras they can budget for the funds. <br /> Mr. Ziola questioned if the Court House Annex could also be cover�d and Mr. Watson stated <br /> 2 <br />
