PUBLIC HEARING, CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT REQUEST FROM MID <br />NEBRASKA SPEEDWAY INC. <br />Affidavit of publication was read, as published in Grand Island Indepen- <br />dent and Doniphan Herald. <br />Doug Stange, 1024 E Sunset, Grand Island, President and owner of Mid <br />Nebraska Speedway Inc spoke in regard to the request for Conditional Use <br />Permit. <br />. Supervisor Landis, Chair of Committee reported they had met with Mr. <br />Stange and Building Inspector and Mr Stange had agreed to remove the request <br />for concerts from the permit request and will request these as special use <br />if decides to hold concerts. The Committee supports the permit request <br />as amended. . <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Hartman to ~pprove the Conditional Use <br />Permit for Mid Nebraska Speedway Inc. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br />Motion by Abernethy, se~0r.de~ by Rosenkotter to close the Public Hearing. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes, <br />none voted no. Discussion and set Public Works <br />Committee meeting for 1:00 p.m. today for meeting with City Attorney and <br />Deputy County Attorney. <br /> <br />WORKERS' COMPENSATION BENEFITS: County Attorney Ellen Totzke presented a <br />written proposal for change in Employees handbook and Employer's rules and <br />regulations for County to be effective April 1, 1996. She requested the <br />County Board approval today and will present to Elected and Appointed County <br />Officials at their meeting on Thursday morning. <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Rosenkotter to accept the amendment for <br />the County employees in regard to WOrker~f Compensation benefits as <br />proposed. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and <br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Attorney Janulewicz reported City Attorney would not be able to attend <br />meeting until 1:30 p.m. Public Works Committee meeting was changed to <br />1:30 p.m. and County Board Of Supervisors meeting will start at 1:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Break at 10:40 a.m. and returned to session at 10:48 a.m. <br />Leslie was excused from meeting at 10:40 a.m. <br /> <br />Supervisor <br />
