WHEREAS, advance permission to solicit combined or joint purchases or bids shall not be required from die County Board for purchases of the fonowing classes and types of supplies, materials, equipment, and services required in common by the City and County provided the solicited bid item or service has be~ duly authorized and appropriated within the curr~t fiscal year's budget, to wit: tires; automotive and equipment maint~ce and repair supplies; office supplies, stationary, and paper products; safety supplies and equipment; highway and road maint~ce supplies and materials; building maint~ce supplies; light bulbs, ballast, and mm1ar electrical materials; solid waste dispow services; and such other and addition& supplies, materials, and services as authorized by motion or resolution of the Hall County Board of Supervisors. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HALL COUN1Y BOARD OF SUPERVISORS that the County and its officers be, and hereby are, authorized to combine purchasing and bidding efforts with the City of Grand Island for the purchase of commonly used supplies, materials, equipm~t, and services, wh~ feasible and lawful, in accordance with the policy expressed herein. The City purchasing ag~t is hereby authorized and a-ppointed to act as -purchasin~ agent for and on behalf of the County of Hall for the purpose of said combined purchlmng and bidding of the above classes of supplies, materials, and services required in common by the County and the City. Said City purchasing ag~t shall not be required to post bond. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that nothing contained herein shall limit or restrict the authority of the County Board or, in the case of purchases having an estimated value less than $2,500, elected COlDlty officials to act as purchasing ag~ts for the purchase or acquisition of any supplies, materials, and services which are not bid, purchased, or contracted through combined or joint bidding with the City.
