96~-o,z/ Corrections Director Joel Dalton and Rita Gallagher appeared to answer questions concerning the cost of prescription drugs for the Corrections facility. The prescriptions are all purchased from Ben's Rexall and they have used this pharmacy for 11 years. Rita Gallagher is the nurse for the jail and she stated that she always orders generic drugs. Ben's Rexall always orders and uses the lowest priced generic drugs available. Five or six years ago she did a cost comparison between Ben's and discount pharmacies and there would have been very little savings. If a corrections officer had to pickup the prescriptions this would cost more in manpower. A possible way to save would be to have the inmates pay for certain over the counter drugs. Ben's Rexall bills at the medicad rate. The request from Sandmark Vending to place machines in the Administration Building was received January 16. Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to deny the request from Sandmark Vending. Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes and Abernethy voted no. Motion carried. Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz returned the corrected agreement for the juveni~and paternity cases with Truell and Garroute. Quandt made a motion and Abernethy seconded to authorize the Chair to sign the agreement. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. The 1994 and 1995 audit report was received. Tami Hein pointed out the following items: 1. The Government Accounting Standards Board requires governments to disclose information about collateral for deposits. They recommended a review of the security and pledge of collateral agreements. 2. The Criminal Restitution Account has five outstanding checks. These should be remitted to the State Treasurer's Office. 3. The Criminal Restitution Account has $1,254.55 of funds but no payee. These funds should be turned over to the State Treasurer. 4.The previous Clerk of District Court, Mary Pat Kelley, was listed as authorized signature on checking accounts. 5. Outstanding checks from the Clerk of the District Court should be turned over to the State Treasurer. 6. Appraisal cards in the County Assessor's need to be signed by the appraiser. 7. Tax corrections 814 to 947 were not specifically approved in the Board of Supervisors minutes. She also highlighted several pages in the financial report. Landis made a motion and Quandt seconded to accept the Audit Report and place on file. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. The bids for the valve replacement in the Hall County Jail were received. Double D Plumbing and Heating, Wood River $1,895.00 Preisendorf Plumbing, Grand Island 2,260.00 Winfrey Plumbing, Inc., Grand Island 1,956.00 Quandt made a motion and Landis seconded to accept the low bid from Double D Plumbing and Heating. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried.
