HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING JANUARY 9, 1996 ~ The Hall County Board of Supervisors met January 9, 1996, at 9:00 A.M. from adjourned session and by published call in the County Board Meeting Room, Administration Building, 121 South Pine, Grand Island. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Irene Abernethy. The pledge of Allegiance was given. Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt, Judy Rosenkotter and Tammie Stelk. The minutes of the December 19 meeting were corrected and approved as received. The Deputy Chairman. seconded. motion and Clerk called for nominations for the 1996 County Board Quandt nominated Tammie Stelk for Chairman and Rosenkotter The clerk called for other nominations. Quandt made the Rosenkotter seconded that nominations cease. The paper ballots were collected and counted by Mary Kay Shay and Carol Bryant. Tammie Stelk received 5 votes, 2 abstained. Tammie Stelk was elected as the Chairman. The Deputy Clerk called for nominations for the 1996 Vice Chairman. Rosenkotter made a motion and Abernethy seconded to nominate Robert Leslie for Vice Chairman. The clerk called for other nominations. Hartman made a motion and Stelk seconded to nominate Gary Quandt. Rosenkotter made a motion and Hartman seconded that nominations cease. The paper ballots were collected and counted by Mary Kay Shay and Carol Bryant. Leslie received 4 votes and Quandt received 3 votes. Robert Leslie was elected as the Vice Chairman. Abernethy presented the gavel to Tammie Stelk as the 1996 Chairman. Stelk stated that she hoped the entire board would work together in a team effort and thanked the board. Stelk presented a plaque to Abernethy for service as the 1995 Chairman and thanked her for her leadership. 9:15 Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to go into executive session concerning personnel. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. 9:42 A.M. Quandt made a motion and Rosenkotter seconded to go out of executive session. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk voted yes and none voted no. Hartman was absent for this vote. , ~.ot:,.,__ Abernethy read the following list of bank depositories for 1996: Bank of Doniphan Bank of Wood River Firstier Bank Five Points Bank Norwest Bank Overland National Bank State Bank of Cairo Union Bank & Trust Company United Nebraska Bank Doniphan, Nebraska Wood River, Nebraska Grand Island, Nebraska Grand Island, Nebraska Grand Island, Nebraska Grand Island, Nebraska Cairo, Nebraska Grand Island, Nebraska Grand Island, Nebraksa Abernethy made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve these banks as depositories for 1996. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Lesli~, Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried.
