<br />~ <br /> <br />9bF()O~ <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING JANUARY 9, 1996 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met January 9, 1996, at 9:00 A.M. <br />from adjourned session and by published call in the County Board <br />Meeting Room, Administration Building, 121 South Pine, Grand Island. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Irene Abernethy. <br /> <br />The pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, Margaret <br />Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt, Judy Rosenkotter and Tammie Stelk. <br /> <br />The minutes of the December 19 meeting were corrected and approved <br />as received. <br /> <br />The Deputy <br />Chairman. <br />seconded. <br />motion and <br /> <br />Clerk called for nominations for the 1996 County Board <br />Quandt nominated Tammie Stelk for Chairman and Rosenkotter <br />The clerk called for other nominations. Quandt made the <br />Rosenkotter seconded that nominations cease. <br /> <br />The paper ballots were collected and counted by Mary Kay Shay and <br />Carol Bryant. Tammie Stelk received 5 votes, 2 abstained. <br />Tammie Stelk was elected as the Chairman. <br /> <br />The Deputy Clerk called for nominations for the 1996 Vice Chairman. <br />Rosenkotter made a motion and Abernethy seconded to nominate Robert <br />Leslie for Vice Chairman. The clerk called for other nominations. <br />Hartman made a motion and Stelk seconded to nominate Gary Quandt. <br />Rosenkotter made a motion and Hartman seconded that nominations <br />cease. <br /> <br />The paper ballots were collected and counted by Mary Kay Shay and <br />Carol Bryant. Leslie received 4 votes and Quandt received 3 votes. <br />Robert Leslie was elected as the Vice Chairman. <br /> <br />Abernethy presented the gavel to Tammie Stelk as the 1996 Chairman. <br />Stelk stated that she hoped the entire board would work together in <br />a team effort and thanked the board. Stelk presented a plaque to <br />Abernethy for service as the 1995 Chairman and thanked her for her <br />leadership. <br /> <br />9:15 Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to go into executive <br />session concerning personnel. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt, Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />9:42 A.M. Quandt made a motion and Rosenkotter seconded to go out of <br />executive session. Abernethy, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, Rosenkotter and <br />Stelk voted yes and none voted no. Hartman was absent for this vote. <br /> <br />, ~.ot:,.,__ <br /> <br />Abernethy read the following list of bank depositories for 1996: <br /> <br />Bank of Doniphan <br />Bank of Wood River <br />Firstier Bank <br />Five Points Bank <br />Norwest Bank <br />Overland National Bank <br />State Bank of Cairo <br />Union Bank & Trust Company <br />United Nebraska Bank <br /> <br />Doniphan, Nebraska <br />Wood River, Nebraska <br />Grand Island, Nebraska <br />Grand Island, Nebraska <br />Grand Island, Nebraska <br />Grand Island, Nebraska <br />Cairo, Nebraska <br />Grand Island, Nebraska <br />Grand Island, Nebraksa <br /> <br />Abernethy made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve these banks <br />as depositories for 1996. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Lesli~, Quandt, <br />Rosenkotter and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br />
