<br />f~~3 <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING DECEMBER 23, 1997 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met from adjourned session <br />and by published call December 23, 1997, in the County Board <br />meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Long. <br /> <br />INVOCATION: Invocation was given by Pastor Curt Holzworth. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard <br />Hartman, Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis, Huey Long, Gary <br />Quandt and Tammie Stelk. Also present were Deputy County <br />Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and news media representatives from <br />KRGI and the Grand Island Independent. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF DECEMBER 9 MEETING: Quandt made a motion and Stelk <br />seconded to approve the minutes as received. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. It was requested to add the type of <br />award received by the employees in the corrections department. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY - INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH COOPERATIVE EXTENSION <br />SERVICE: This interlocal agreement is between the University of <br />Nebraska Cooperative Extension office and Hall County. Deputy <br />County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz reviewed the changes that were <br />made. Hartman made a motion and Stelk seconded to approve the <br />interlocal agreement. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />RECEIPT OF PERSONNEL GRIEVANCE: A grievance was received and <br />Chairman Long appointed Richard Hartman, Pamela Lancaster and <br />Tammie Stelk to review the grievance. The committee must meet <br />within 14 days. Jerry Janulewicz will also be included. A copy <br />of the grievance procedure was given to the board members. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION FOP NEGOTIATIONS: Landis made a motion and <br />Quandt seconded to go into executive session for FOP <br />negotiations. Landis amended her motion to include the executive <br />session on personnel. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />9:15 a.m. Executive session <br /> <br />9:38 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Abernethy seconded to go out <br />of executive session. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />9:40 a.m. PUBLIC HEARING ON CONSOLIDATION OF COUNTY OFFICES: <br />Landis made a motion and Abernethy seconded to open the public <br />hearing for consolidation of county offices.
