<br />~?F'3q~ <br /> <br />The emergency action plan for the park was also completed and <br />Landis made a motion and Stelk seconded to accept the emergency <br />action plan for the Hall County Park. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />The annual report of the park was distributed to the board <br />members in their packets and Stelk stated it was a impressive <br />report. Stelk made a motion and Lancaster seconded to accept the <br />annual report and place on file. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz <br />presented the Convention and Visitors Bureau contract and stated <br />it was in correct legal form. The county board committee, Jerry <br />Janulewicz and the chamber met to complete the contract. Landis <br />made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the contract with <br />Convention and Visitors Bureau. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long and Quandt all voted yes and none voted no and Stelk <br />abstained. Motion carried. Abernethy requested that a word be <br />added on page 4 and this will be corrected. <br /> <br />PRISON PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION AND PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: <br />The following people spoke under public participation concerning <br />the prison issue: <br /> <br />Kay Collins, 1003 West Louise, thanked the board for the <br />opportunity for the public to participate and stressed the <br />importance of open government. <br /> <br />Marsha Lawton, 1419 West Prairie Road, was opposed to the prison <br />in Hall County. <br /> <br />Max Mader, 1350 North Webb Road, opposed <br /> <br />Kevin Stoppkotte, Merrick County Supervisor, opposed <br /> <br />Max Leonard, Grand Island, opposed <br /> <br />Louise Miller, 1104 West Charles, opposed <br /> <br />Chris Peterson, 1812 West Louise, after the passage of LB 150, the Legis- <br />lature defined the need for a state prison. She thanked the City, County <br />and Prison Committee for their efforts and stated that Hall <br />County had the largest number of open meetings. If an <br />application is submitte~the site committee will visit the <br />community and public hearings will be held. The community can <br />withdraw from the process at that time. <br /> <br />Carol Swanson, 3023 North Webb Road, expressed concerns on <br />property valuations and was opposed. <br /> <br />Russ Vanlengen, 2011 North Howard, questioned if the public is <br />
