<br />?1 f 370 <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISES MEETING NOVEMBER 4, 1997 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met from adjourned session <br />and by published call November 4, 1997, at 9:00 a.m. in the <br />County Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island, <br />Nebraska. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huey <br />Long. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard <br />Hartman, Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis, Huey Long, Gary <br />Quandt and Tammie Stelk. Also present were Deputy County <br />Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and news media representatives from <br />KRGI and the Grand Island Independent. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 28 MEETING: Stelk made a motion and Landis <br />seconded to approve the minutes as received and place on file. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz was <br />present and requested that the executive session on the South <br />Locust Street tract 3 real estate acquisition be held first. <br />Landis made a motion and Stelk seconded to go into executive <br />session regarding the real estate acquisition. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes <br />and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />9:05 A.M. EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />10;12 A.M. Landis made <br />of executive session. <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk <br />carried. <br /> <br />a motion and Lancaster seconded to go out <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, <br />all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> <br />10:16 a.m. Stelk made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go into <br />a Board of Equalization meeting. Abernethy, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no, with <br />Hartman absent for the vote. Motion carried. <br /> <br />11:20 a.m. Stelk made a motion and <br />the Board of Equalization meeting. <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Hartman seconded to go out of <br />Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Stelk all voted yes and none <br /> <br />PUBLIC'PARTICIPATION: Butch Gordon, who lives on Chapman Road, <br />requested to speak to the County Board concerning a resolution on <br />the salvage cars. He suggested that the board look at thelr <br />decision and they may want to consider a grandfather clause. The <br />residents of the rural areas may not want to conform to the <br />standards of city areas. <br /> <br />APPROVE RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COUNTY ZONING RESOLUTION: The <br />
