OFFICE REPORT <br /> HALL COUNTY REGIST�R OF DEEDS <br /> FEBRUARY 2013 <br /> bOCUMENTARY STAMP FEES $ 4,267.35 <br /> RECORDING FEES $ 20,727.00 <br /> PHOTO COPIES $ 135.80 <br /> 5. a) RECOGNITION OF DEPUTY JESSICA HOBACK FOR HER 15 YEARS OF SERVICE TO <br /> THE SHERI�'F'S DEPARTMENT--Sheriff Jerry Watson stated that Deputy Jessica Hoback is <br /> leaving the sheriff's department for the City Police Department to take a position as a crime <br /> analyst and he presented her with a plaque. He stated that she had worked numerous positions <br /> for Hall County SherifF's Department. <br /> Ms Hoback stated that she has learned a lot and appreciated the opportunities that she had <br /> while working for Hall County. <br /> 5b). LORRI ROGERS RETIREMENT RECOGNITION — County Sheriff Jerry Watson stated that <br /> Lorri Rogers with the Nebraska State Patrol is retiring after serving 29 years. Since 1991 she <br /> was assigned to investigative services covering 17 counties regarding liquor licens� <br /> compliance. He thanked her for her service. <br /> Ms Rogers stated that it was a pleasure to work in Hall County she had a wonderFul career and <br /> was happy to have spent her time here. <br /> 9:�5 a.m. Held a Board of�qualization meeting. <br /> Adjourned back to the regular meeting at 10:05 a.m. <br /> 6. 1p:Qp A.M. PUBLIC HEARING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR HALL COUNTY NEBRASKA <br /> PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION - Quandt made a motion and Purdy seconded ta open the public <br /> hearing. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt Schuppan and Ziola all voted y�s and <br /> none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Dustin Butler and Theresa Engelhardt and board member Pat Stecker were present with the <br /> increase in the papulation of Grand Island to 5�,000 the transportatian system will be changing. <br /> They noted that there was an increase in the fuel cost to $4.25 a gallon and their insurance will <br /> be going up due to the number of accidents that were not the fault of the Senior Citizens drivers <br /> but they have to incur 10% of the cost. They have also increased their trips to the rural areas. <br /> Ms. Engelhardt also noted that they have a partnership with another agency in Cairo to bring <br /> residents to Grand Island for their appointm�nts. They are requesting $3,20Q.00 more than last <br /> year with the total county share of$98,526.00. There should be a decrease next year because <br /> the city will have to take over the routes in the city limits. They have had some meetings in the <br /> rural areas addressing how they can better serve them. Mr. Schuppan and Mr. Purdy have <br /> attended same af those meetings. <br /> Ms. Engelhardt stated that it is their goal to set fixed rates in the rural communities. The city <br /> could hire Senior Citizens to cantinue to serve the city residents but they would need to pay <br /> them for the services. Mr. Arnold questioned if they would have enough buses and Theresa <br /> stated they would but would need to continue increasing their fleet. At this time they are not <br /> 2 <br />
