Motion carried. <br /> <br />The County Board Secretary had no updating information for the <br />Board this week. <br /> <br />10:20 Landis made the motion seconded by Lancaster to enter into <br />the Board of Equalization to set public hearing date. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, and Quandt all voted yes. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />10:25 Abernethy made the motion to adjourn the Board of <br />Equalization and return to regular session, seconded by Hartman. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, and Quandt all voted <br />yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Landis made the motion, seconded by Lancaster, to approve the <br />recommendation of Committee on Committees. Lancaster stated that <br />these are recommended times and the meeting times could be <br />adjusted to avoid conflicts. Quandt wanted to know if this ment <br />the times could vary from the committee's recommendation. Mr. <br />Long stated that the times could be changed. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, all voted yes. Quandt voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Chuck Powell reported to the Board on a <br />research poll report for Hall County, on data gathered by Midwest <br />Survey and Marketing regarding construction of a state prison in <br />the County. Following his presentation on the poll survey, Mr. <br />Powell thanked the citizens of Hall County for taking the time to <br />be a part of the poll and answered various question from <br />different members of the Board. <br /> <br />11:15 Break <br /> <br />11:25 Return to regular session <br /> <br />Chairman Long opened the meeting up to public participation. <br />Mr. Dennis Benson of 1008 East 5th St., Grand Island, expressed <br />his opinion of why the prison should not be located in Grand <br />Island. Mr. Long thanked Mr. Benson for his comments and then <br />closed the meeting to public participation. <br /> <br />County <br />Landis <br /> <br />Board Member Reports: <br />Convention and Visitors Board <br />Computer Meeting <br />Juvenile Assessments Needs Meeting <br />Audit Committee Meeting, informed the Board that there <br />are two separate reports to be sent to the State. <br />
