Stelk made a <br />motion to go into executive session regarding personnel matters, <br />and Quandt seconded to hold an executive session. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Lancaster Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes <br />and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />10:35 a.m. Hartman made a motion and Abernethy seconded to go out <br />of executive session. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />10:35 a.m. Returned to regular session <br /> <br />A motion was made by Hartman and seconded by Lancaster to open a <br />public hearing. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER AMENDMENT TO HALL COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE <br />ZONING PLAN AND TO CONSIDER REZONING CASE C-22-97HC: The <br />advertisement of the notice was read. Dave Barber of the Regional <br />Planning Commission and Trent Kleier of Doniphan requested that <br />the Board rezone a tract of land on the Adams-Hall County line, <br />on the Boundary edge of Highway 281 and Barrows Road, from an <br />AG-1 Agricultural to HC-Highway Commercial. Mr. Barber stated <br />that it would be used for future industrial growth. Mr. Kleier, <br />when asked by Abernethy, stated those plans for the site might be <br />a convenience store. Motion was made to close the public hearing <br />by Hartman, seconded by Stelk. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Hartman, seconded by Stelk to accept the <br />amendment to the zoning plan C-22-97HC. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ON APPOINTMENT OF C.V.B. BOARD MEMBER: Gary wanted to <br />know if there had been any applications or names on a volunteer <br />list regarding the appointment. Stelk noted that an application <br />had been handed to Lisa Hagen, Board Assistant. Applications, <br />need to be filed by September 25, 1997. It was decided to <br />continue the discussion of this matter at the September 30, <br />Board meeting. <br /> <br />The six-month evaluation of County Board Assistant, Lisa Hagen, <br />was discussed. Motion was made by Hartman that at this time <br />Lisa will receive a $500.00 probationary period increase, <br />$500.00 for budget preparation and a 3% increase retroactive to <br />July. This motion was seconded by Stelk. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br />
