<br />97;:-311 <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD SECRETARY REPORT: Lisa Hagen, board secretary, <br />requested the audit committee and the personnel committee to <br />schedule meetings and reminded the board that there is a position <br />on the CVB board that needs to be filled. The board asked Lisa <br />for the list of volunteers and decided they would do interviews. <br />They asked Janulewicz if the representative from the County Board <br />could be a voting member. He will check on this. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD MEMBERS REPORTS: Quandt-He attended to prison <br />meetings and the ground breaking at the ball fields. <br /> <br />Stelk - She reported that county government day will be November <br />25, 1997, there will be a mock trial and they will be dismissed <br />at 2:30 p.m. The Nebraska State Patrol will have a demonstration <br />with the drug dog Nero and the election commissioner will give a <br />presentation on how to file for anoffice. <br /> <br />Hartman - He attended the prison meetings. <br /> <br />Landis - She attended the conditional use meeting, the Reuse <br />meeting and the Reuse open forum meeting at College Park <br />Thursday. She will have a safety meeting on Wednesday. <br /> <br />Abernethy - She attended the Grand Island and Doniphan prison <br />meetings, a Family Violence meeting, the MIP. Diversion meeting, <br />the Reuse meeting at College Park and the ground breaking at <br />Fonner Park for the 3 softball fields. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She attended the prison meeting on Tuesday, the <br />Senior Citizens meeting and reported they will be having a handi <br />bus rodeo and reported that a savings and loan company will be <br />giving some money to be used for the adult day care. This may be <br />used for lockers and computers. She also attended the Reuse <br />meetings and thanked Jerry Janulewicz, Margaret Landis and Andy <br />Baird for their hard work. <br /> <br />Long - He attended the prison meetings and the Reuse meeting at <br />College Park, a NACO meeting in Lincoln which was very <br />interesting and will attend CNCS tonight. <br /> <br />Jerry Janulewicz returned to the board with information on the <br />convention and visitors board. He stated a county board member <br />may serve as a voting membe~ this should be reviewed and <br />discussed next week. <br /> <br />3:10 p.m. Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to hold <br />executive session for the CWA negotiations. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. <br /> <br />3:45 p.m. Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to go out of <br />executive session, Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />NEW AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Quandt reported that they held <br />another meeting on the 2-mile jurisdiction and are almost <br />completed and have came to a decision. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned 3:47 p.m. The next meeting will be Tuesday, <br />September 30, 1997, at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ounty <br /> <br />REMINDER: County Board meetings may be viewed each week on GITV <br />Cable Channel 6 or UHF Channel 56 on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and <br />Friday at 8:00 a.m. <br />
